In reply to: Problems with RSS Feeds and 2.8.1It seems that a LOT of people using WP are having a LOT of issues with RSS feeds, myself included, and there is ZERO support for this widget and the other RSS plugins/widgets simply don’t work as advertised.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

In reply to: RSS widget problemStill having problems with RSS feeds not updating. Whether I use the raw feed from our web site or the feedburner feed, the result is the same.
I can click the little rss feed icon and see more updated information than is shown in the publicly viewable feed for both. very frustrating.
Unfortunately, when I try other rss widgets from WP, I get very strange results:
– The KB Advanced RSS Widget caused all 5 RSS feeds on our home page to pull from the same feed.
– the Simple RSS Fetcher just doesn’t see any feed at all.Does anyone else have this issue? You can see it for yourself at https://www.cwnp.com – click on any of the feeds, and you’ll see newer data than you see on the web page.
Help? Anyone? Anyone?

In reply to: RSS widget problemAlso tried Simple RSS Fetcher. No joy.
There is something amiss between my site and the RSS feeds I am trying to display.

In reply to: RSS widget problemBrilliant. Now all 5 RSS feeds have somehow adopted one feed, so I have 5 different locations of the exact same feed. WTH?
So much for nicer looking feeds that actually update…correctly!
Bye bye kb-advanced-rss-widget. Why is this so hard? RSS=really SIMPLE syndication, right?
So I replace all the kb garbage with the WP standard RSS feeds, and it actually goes BACK to content from yesterday, yet I can still open the actual RSS feed and see up to date content.
HELP!

In reply to: RSS widget problemOK, fixed the issue of reuse. I really love the title display of this widget vs. the default WP widget, and, yes, it actually updates the content from the feed. What a concept. Scroll down to the footer of this page to see the various widgets:
Questions:
– How do we show a short excerpt, author, date from each feed?
– some show mouse-over texts, some do not. Is that a function of the RSS feed XML or code in the widget?
– Lower left RSS – “Blogroll” – the title runs right into the blog name with no space. It did not appear this way with default RSS widget. How to fix?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: RSS widget problemAlso, again consider I’m no coder/html guy, WP default RSS widget gives mouseover content to these RSS feed headlines. KB-advanced does not seem to do this.

In reply to: RSS widget problemUnless I’m missing something, I cannot reuse this widget on different locations on my site. When I try to put a different RSS feed into this widget on a different location on my site, I get the same RSS feed that I used in the first location. I have 5 RSS feeds in the footer/sidebar of my site. Obviously, each one is different. When I implement KB-advanced, I get the same feed in every widget, despite the fact that I have entered a different feed URL in each one.
I’m no coder, nor HTML guru. SO, like I said, unless I’m missing something…

In reply to: RSS widget problemWill give it a whirl.

In reply to: RSS widget problemThat’ll make it look good, but doesn’t solve the problem of why the RSS feed data doesn’t update on my web site.

In reply to: Duplicate user recordsUnfortunately, I look at this issue from a user perspective, as I am not a developer and could not be trusted to do anything in phpMyAdmin. I’m looking for a simple way to do this within the WP UI.

In reply to: View all users in one view?SS_Minnow, Shane G.:
Thanks for these. I’ll give them a shot. What I’m trying to do is show all users, so I can “select all” and “Change role to” “subscriber”, because at the moment all our users are “role=none” so they cannot login and post to the forums (bbPress).
Of course, I’m also banking here that the bbPress/WP Integration plugin actually does it’s job of cross assigning roles that I have setup, but I just found on the bbPress forums that I will be very disappointed, and may have to find a similar plugin for bbPress. Grrr.

In reply to: A way to display all users in one view?Is there a way in wp-admin for us non-coders to see all of the users in one view? It’s easy to see all my pages in one view…thought it would be similar for users. I need to bulk update the roles of most of my users.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Delete All Role “None” MembersHow can you view all users of a role type on the screen? I’m only able to see 50 users at a time. We have thousands of users, and I’d like to delete or update roles in bulk.

In reply to: [Plugin: Users to CSV] Not WorkingI cannot get this plugin to work. With straight install, using the plugin logged me out of WP. With adjustments noted above, just a blank page.
