In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] <abbr> instead of <acronym>I’ve been thinking about this for a while but I’m not convinced that the average user will understand the distinction between <abbr> and <acronym>, or will care enough about semantic HTML to use it.
However I’m still thinking about it.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] New acronyms to add to the official listThese will mostly be added in for the upcoming 1.7 release; however it will only work for new installs. Upgrading your plugin will not add these new ones.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Fix for Acronym plugin breaking BBCodeCould someone confirm that it’s working? I’ve tried it and it still seems to replace acronyms inside of BBcode.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Fix for Acronym plugin breaking BBCodeHey guys,
Ummm.
I decided that I’ll devote some of my spare time to at least try to maintain the Acronyms plugin. I’ll be doing most of my development and testing on a fresh install of the latest WordPress since I no longer have an active working WP blog install, so please let me know if anything I release breaks another plugin or conflicts with something else.
Anyway 1.6.2 has been released with Spadija’s regex correction.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Fix for Acronym plugin breaking BBCodeHey, both of you:
I’m afraid I’m no longer using WordPress, and therefore no longer developing plugins or maintaining my existing WP plugins. The source code is all out there, of course, and you’re welcome to pick up the code and go with it. It’s open source, after all.
Thanks for your continued interest in the plugin!

In reply to: Posts not showing up in Admin interfaceCan anyone help?
This issue possibly surfaced as a result of a failed post save from the WP iPhone app.

In reply to: Posts not showing up in Admin interfaceWhen I go to https://ketsugi.com/wp/wp-admin/themes.php?page=functions.php I get the error as well:
Cannot load functions.php.
Is this a permissions issue with my admin folder?

In reply to: Posts not showing up in Admin interfacePossibly related:
I am unable to load my plugin settings pages.
For example with only Akismet activated, I get this error message:
Cannot load akismet-key-config.
I get this same error when trying to access the settings page for WordPress.com Stats and WP Super Cache.
When trying to load my Acronyms plugin management page (under Tools) I get this error message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Acronyms in /home1/ketsugic/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/acronyms/acronyms.php on line 28
These plugins were all working fine previously.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Cannot activate in WP 2.7Yeah, for some reason I am sometimes getting a hidden control character before the <?php and I don’t know what’s causing it. 1.6.1 seems to have fixed the issue and I’m never going to edit my files on Windows again.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Cannot activate in WP 2.7Sadly, 1.6Beta1 is almost identical to 1.6DEV. The only difference is that I saved the file on my Mac instead of on my Windows machine.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Cannot activate in WP 2.7Hi Lovelidicious, yes that’s correct. The acronym is the identifier. If you wish to change the acronym itself, please delete your old one and add a new one.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Cannot activate in WP 2.7I’m currently running 1.6beta1 on my test and production blogs without problems.

Please let me know if you continue to have issues with this one. If you do, please also let me know whether you’re running on a Windows or *nix server. Thanks.

In reply to: [Plugin: Acronyms] Cannot activate in WP 2.7Thanks, Rschilt. I’m getting incredibly frustrated with this bizarre error. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don’t… with exactly the same file in place. I can’t pinpoint what’s causing it, but the errors only started showing up in version 1.5.3, which I edited in TextPad in Windows. My usual development environment is TextMate on my Mac, so I’m guessing there’s a text encoding issue.
Hopefully I can issue a 1.6 beta soon to see if it fixes your problems.
