It is what I described as my problem as it appears to be the reason why my mobile and tablet view editor won’t load. For whatever the reason, the plugin boxes that load underneath the editing space, were the only things loading in those views. When disabling them in preferences the issue resolved itself for those views.

My problem is that I can edit in desktop view, I can’t edit in mobile or tablet view as the editor in those views won’t load. As you saw in my screenshots, in the mobile view, my scroll bar was as far as it could go, no mobile editor showing.

I had also contacted GP support directly and got this response:

“Hi there,

Theres no issues with the Theme or our GenerateBlocks.

But WP 6.6 made some changes to the editor that is causing some users issues.

The fault is the editor no longer has a minimum height , so if you have large meta boxes or lots of meta boxes below the editor ( e.g for SEO plugins, simple CSS , Custom fields etc ) those can interfere with the the editor height making the editor inaccessible especially in responsive views.

This requires those meta boxes to be collapsed or removed from the editor to get around this annoyance.

Hoping WP patch it or at least acknowledge its not a good UX.”

I have since done a manual fix by deactivating blocks in preferences but this is a pain to have to toggle on and off for each new post.

Should I still continue to the other forum or is this in any way helpful to finding the solution?

I should also add, this only started since the most recent update, all was working as it should before then.

Hi, I can’t link a specific page as the issue is within the editor, not a live page. Here are two links for screen shots if that’s any help.

First is of the regular desktop editor view. Second is when I click to view mobile editor, it only loads the lower portion of the page where plug in shortcuts live. You can see my sidebar is scrolled all the way up. There is no mobile view showing therefore I can’t edit it.

So the issue is that I can view either the mobile or table editing layouts to make adjustments.

Hi, mystery solved! Turns out even after clearing cache and browser it was still blurry. Ended up disabling Chrome extensions one by one and found the little culprit causing the issues!!

Hi, thanks so much for this. I tried a different browser (firefox) and the text is perfect. I’ve been using Chrome for ages and this only started happening a few days ago. If you have any troubleshooting suggestions, I’m all ears.
