just goes to show you, my host i have been using for 5 years and didn’t realise my site was under resourced, i took it for granted it was ok and it was something i was doing

ok, no joy, i found the setting you mentioned on a per slide basis butdidnt make a differrence, i have uploaded the website to a temp location at https://unitysupportriders.org/WP/pheonix/ so you can see the issue, if i use the standard slider it stretches the pictures full screen, i know the sample pictures i am currently using are low res, currently waiting to be sent hi res versions, admin details available on request

have emailed you admin details if you want to have a poke about

should and i been killing myself for the last 2 weeks trying to work out what i did wrong, in the end i contacted my host asking for advice, they don’t normally help with actual products just the hosting but this time they had a look and identified my server had memory issues, they increased the ram allocation and all of a sudden everything is working as expected.. that will teach me to not assume the host resources were correct

James, your advice is most appreciated, I will try this tonight. What is bugging the hell out of me is its working 100% on my dev box which is a 4 year old all in 1 portable website, moving it to a commercial host I would have thought should be painless.
