Like other people, I also tried to create a child theme with just style.css – it broke the site after I activated it, with PHP error messages. Also, I was unable to access the WP control panel to deactivate the child theme until I copied these files into the child theme’s /admin/ folder:
options-medialibrary-uploader.php
options-interface.php
options-sanitize.php
options-framework.php
There are now responsive layout issues. I suspect there are a number of additional files required here for any child theme to function correctly on WordPress 3.5.
Hopefully the theme author can direct us to some kind of documentation for this, or I’ll have to ditch this theme…
