Hello Fotis,
I always use the Read More block (pre-Gutenberg, I used the Read More tag). I didn’t change anything this time (that I know of).
Thanks,

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] 7.4 & 7.4.1 Website is blankI found my problem. There was a conflict in my Child Theme.
Here’s what caused it:
7.4.0 Enhancements:
* Adds OpenGraph image dimension-meta tags for more images.I was having problems with OpenGraph images on Facebook. I added code to my child theme to fix it. The code was found here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/7199
I guess with 7.4.0, Yoast resolved the issue that I had patched and it caused my page to crash. I removed the patch from my child theme and all is well.
Hope this might help someone else with a similar problem.

Hi, @erania-pinnera,
I’m familiar with the ID crisis issue. That was an easy fix. The reason I had the ID crisis was due to Jetpack not working properly. The act of moving my site to staging somehow resolved the original problem (see thread title).
All is well now. Happy holidays!
KenHoly Cow, I fixed it.
My site is on GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress which includes a staging site.
I cloned my site to the staging site, then went to the Plugin page and updated Jetpack to the most current. It immediately started working.
I noticed that Jetpack didn’t automatically go into Safe Mode like it usually does in the Staging environment. It thought it was the real site and took ownership of all my stats and subscribers.
I pushed staging back to production. When I logged back into production I got a warning that Jetpack thought it was in a staging environment and went into Safe Mode. But it was working ?? . I clicked the Safe Mode link that asked if this was a new site that needed the Jetpack stats to migrate from the cloning site. Done. Everything working.
If a Happiness Engineer can explain to me what the heck happened, that would be great. If not, at least things are working again as they should.
Whew!

Stefania,
I sent you more info via the form on the Jetpack support page.

If any others have a similar problem and are following along, short story is that all Jetpack updates after 4.7.1. display blank Dashboard and Settings page on my WordPress site. Tested all by deleting and installing via SFTP. I also deactivated all plugins to rule out interference. The pages load down until the end of the [link rel=’stylesheet’] tags (not very far).Ken

Thank you! That gives me a place to start. I’ll let you know what I find out.
What’s the lowest recommended/tested PHP version for Jetpack?Ken

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] 5.6.1 update not workingI just updated from 5.6 to 5.6.1.
Yoast vanished from my admin page. Plugin files are still on the server, but the Dashboard is Yoastless.[Update: I just realized that during the update, the plugin deactivated. I activated it and all is well now. I haven’t seen that happen before.]

Perfect. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply. I haven’t pulled my site into staging yet. Wanted to make sure I do it correctly…
When I pull my production site (with Jetpack active) into staging, will I automatically get the Safe Mode option?
Also, what happens after I make my changes and push Staging back to Production? Will Jetpack automatically know it’s back in production without mixing up site IDs?
Thanks so much for your help!
Ken
Hi Mike,
No problem! The functions look very useful.

Follow up question: I see that Jetpack also has a “Safe Mode.” Is this different than Development Mode and Staging Mode? I’m thoroughly confused as to how I should properly configure my staging environment. ??
Staging Mode and Development Mode are both features of Jetpack:

Hi Christoph,
Thank you for the reply. Is this the right place to get the attention of someone who can fix this or is there another place I should post or email?
Thanks!
