Did you need to make any adjustments with memory? I suspect this is a server side problem but am in the dark about what to do.

With the suggestion to use tags, is this a problem when what could be required may involve 30-40 different names on a single page? I’d rather it be able to be dealt with by a search rather than tags if possible. Is there any way to get the search function to limit itself to the block of text on the page in which these names appear?

As as to search only by title and content, yes, that is what I want it to do.

Maybe I am not explaining what it is that I am wanting here (please forgive me I am new to WordPress and some of the terminology is not always familiar to me).

When I go to the Categories panel in WordPress there is a list of the categories there. Name, description, slug, count. The only option to order this list is by Name, which can be alphabetically or reverse alphabetically. Similarly when I look at the page under Pages and see what Categories it has been appended with, these also display alphabetically.

Now when I go to the page itself and down the bottom where I have added a list of the categories for this particular page, the results always display alphabetically. These results are included in the body text of the page, not as a sidebar or anywhere else.

What I am asking about is the results that are displayed on the page. How can I get WordPress or a plugin to be able to display these in the order I would like them to go?

Okay thank you for your help. Muchly appreciated. I guess I will be having to generate LOTS of individual tables by hand unless can find another plugin to do the job.

My apologies, I did not realise that the coding would be different depending on the theme.

The theme I am using is OceanWP. I will take your advice and contact the vendor, thank you. If you have any additional suggestions to make would be appreciated.

Okay thank you for that T-p. it is straightforward to follow. However, there is one problem.

I go through all of the steps outlined. BUT once I get to the Theme Details there is no delete button in the bottom right-hand corner. If I had the means to upload a screenshot of what is on the screen before me to prove I wasn’t making this up, I would but there is no Delete button or any such analogous command there.
