In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working After 3.3 UpgradeInteresting. I immediately installed CKEditor with high hopes that I would get results similar to yours. Unfortunately, I got an editing screen with all the editing tools blanked out. I wish this were resolved, but, sadly, it is not. At least for me.

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working After 3.3 UpgradeI am amused and frustrated that people think this issue is resolved. I may not be the expert on WordPress that some others of you are, but I believe I have tried every “fix” in this thread. I still don’t see a button to access the Visual Editor when I edit or initially draft a post. I have switched to twenty-eleven, have de-activated and re-activated every plug-in (together and separately), have cleared browser caches multiple times, have updated and reinstalled Java, and I am using Google Libraries.
I use a Mac with OS X 10.7.3. No Visual Editor in either Chrome (18.0.1025.168) or Safari (5.1.5 (7534.55.3)). Curiously, I am able to use Visual Editor in Safari on my iPad. But not in the AtomicWeb browser or the WordPress app for iPad.
I would appreciate any ideas, because I would love to use Visual Editor on my Mac.
Seems good this morning. Wp-cache was apparently the problem. Thanks everybody.
Good thought, Tim. I have wp-cache. I’ll de-activate it and see what happens with my next new post tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.
Maybe Yahoo! just woke up to a server problem. Today’s post just showed up on Safari on my Mac and on the two browsers on my iPad. Eleven hours after publishing.
Can’t wait to see what happens with tomorrow morning’s post.
Thanks, Jetpack is active. The latest post is titled “What is it about chickens & trade?”. That’s what I am seeing in Chrome on my Mac on the home page now (that’s the browser I have been working from, and from which I de-activated and then re-activated Jetpack). But when I try using Safari on the Mac, or Safari or Atomic Web on my iPad, I still get last Friday’s post: “Eximbank Incoming”. Which post are you seeing?
I tried Twenty Eleven. It looked fine in Chrome, but hasn’t shown up in Safari or either of the iPad browsers. I’m beginning to think there is a server problem rather than a Jetpack problem. My blog (and my associated company website) is hosted by Yahoo! Small Business.
kekepana.com/blog. Thanks.
Sorry, I have Jetpack 1.2.4 and my new posts still won’t appear on the home page unless I de-activate and then re-activate Jetpack.

In reply to: No longer any Visual and html tabs in edit window in 3.3Use Google Libraries did nothing here.

In reply to: "-Standard" post? What does it mean?I’m seeing “standard”, too, in my post listing. Like the OP found, it’s not a problem, more a curiosity.
I don’t know how to fix it, but the cause – in my case – appears to be drafting or editing the post in the iPad version of WordPress. Based on what’s been said by the rest of you, I suspect the iPad version removes any non-standard formatting you may use on your PC or Mac.

In reply to: No longer any Visual and html tabs in edit window in 3.3I have the same difficulty. When in the editing window, since the installation of 3.3, the tabs for switching between visual and HTML have disappeared. Editing is now in HTML by default, which is unfortunate because I have always drafted and edited in visual.
I have tried every solution proposed above, with the exception of manually installing a new version of 3.3. Nothing has worked. I would try the manual installation, but my blog is published via Yahoo! Small Business and, frankly, I don’t know how to do it without screwing something up. But something I did not do has certainly screwed my blog up. Any other ideas?
