In reply to: Website Forced RedirectsWow! I was having the same problem with that darn js.wonka trojan. I’m so glad I came across your posts, because I cleared away the trojan the same way. I went to my original theme files and put in the original header.php file, and the trojan disappeared!
Thanks a bunch!

In reply to: HELP! Tried to update, and can’t get blog backWell… after trying to fix the update problem, I finally deleted most of my newly uploaded files, and then re-loaded a newly downloaded older version of WordPress that I had been using, figuring it was clean, and got my blog back again. I don’t know if I’ll ever try updating again! At least I knew I had my database backed up, so I could get my posts back again at some point.

In reply to: HELP! Tried to update, and can’t get blog backI’m not understanding something simple, I’m guessing. I tried your suggestion. I have my blog in a directory called Creation. [I have another blog in a different directory on the same server]
I tried changing the index.php to the above script, with require(‘Creation./wp-blog-header.php’) and then tried require(‘.blog/wp-blog-header.php’) and both times got this new error message:
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘.blog/wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php’) in /homepages/26/d212929719/htdocs/Creation/index.php on line 17
clicking on function require brought me to the error 404 (not found) message. I still need help!
Also, I tried putting the index.php in the root directory, and in the Creation directory. In the root I get the 403 error message, Forbidden!
I know that there is something simple I am missing, but I don’t know what it is!

In reply to: HELP! Tried to update, and can’t get blog backWith index.php I’m getting this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_admin()in /homepages/26/d212929719/htdocs/Creation/wp-includes/vars.php on line 16
Can someone walk me through how to fix this????

In reply to: How to Connect with database againHey… figured it out. I remembered that my host put an index.html file in there that needed to be deleted so the index.php would work. Once I deleted that index.html file, my WordPress blog reconnected with the database and came back to life!

In reply to: What is “.htaccess” file and how do I use it?The problem has been resolved. I actually fixed the problem with the .htaccess file by going through the dashboard on WordPress, and re-doing my permalinks.

In reply to: What is “.htaccess” file and how do I use it?Before I do anything — this new .htaccess file will overwrite what is already there as an .htaccess file, right? What is an .htaccess file? I’d like to know at least a little more about this thing.
It is hard being a newbie!
