In reply to: [footnotes] Conflict with Off-Canvas SidebarsHi Jory–
I’m sorry, things got backed up and I haven’t actually been able to figure out to apply the patch with the multiple files. I am afraid I will make a mistake making the necessary series of changes manually. I see you have continued to work on it, as more files have been changed. Is there by chance a place to download a patched version of the plugin to help you test it?
Thank you!-

In reply to: [footnotes] Conflict with Off-Canvas SidebarsHi Jory–
I will certainly test the patch on our test environment and let you know in the next day or two. Footnotes is another WordPress plugin, but I didn’t know how they were interacting and what the conflict might be since I didn’t see js errors in the console. It was only because I could get the Footnote tooltips functionality back into shape with css that I was able to suspect the
#sb-site
container had something to do with it. But, I thought it was perhaps a problem on the Footnote end since Off-Canvas Sidebars continued to work as expected. I’m grateful you explained it!-Kayla

In reply to: [footnotes] Conflict with Off-Canvas SidebarsThank you for your super-fast input, Jory! I think we could downgrade Off-Canvas since we do not need the top/bottom sidebars functionality. I was hopeful maybe there was an easy way I could tell the Footnotes plugin how to use the new container for calculations akin to my css position:relative fix and keep the most current versions of both plugins… but since I am not proficient in javascript, perhaps a downgrade of one is best if this is an unusual situation.
Thanks again!–
KaylaHi Jory– Yes, I do have FTP access, changed the events as you described, and am happy to report all is now well on iPhone! Thank you!
Hi Jory– We did clear the cache as one of our first steps (includes the page-cache, the CDN cache, and the object cache). Does not work on iPhone and iPad (Safari) as the touchscreens. Clearing browser cache on iPhone didn’t help. https://www.metapsychosis.com/ works as expected in the desktop version of Safari, just not iPhone or iPad. https://www-metapsychosis-com.theoryofe.staging.wpengine.com/ works both on desktop and on iPhone/iPad for me, so it is a curious thing.
Yes, thank you Jory: https://www.metapsychosis.com/ . There’s an info icon (i in circle) in the far upper-left that triggers a right-side Off-Canvas Sidebar on wider screens (breakpoint is 814px) and then on narrower screens, a menu bar icon shows up next to the site title that triggers a left-side Off-Canvas Sidebar. The base theme is Genesis Metro Pro. Version 0.2.0.1 was clean installed on this instance, it was not upgraded from Version 0.1.2.
If it helps, Version 0.1.2 can be seen at https://www-metapsychosis-com.theoryofe.staging.wpengine.com/ with same locations to trigger the same Off-Canvas Sidebars. It has essentially the same theme css, the same set of plugins running, but the first link is generally more up-to-date versions-wise on the plugins and WordPress.
