If your trying to add your posts from wordpress to a static part of your site or another site for that matter I would use simplepie.

1 – Upload the entire contents of the simplepie folder to the root of your site,

2 – From there you will need to add your feed url to the php file and upload it to the root

3 – Use an includes on the page you want the feed to be displayed. Very easy and works like a charm.

Well I made the post 4 days ago and searching I found this. If I use Simplepie it works however the actual styling isnt correct so I need to write the rss to allow it to call the first post with snippet and display the image while leaving the 2nd and 3rd post links

Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can write the rss file

No the main portion of the site is not on wordpress and this doesnt cause a problem. I do not like my main portion of my sites using wordpress. The wordpress is an extended part of the site which is going to be used for blogging and news. The wordpress has been set up like this

https://www.mysite.com/news/ with the wordpress installed in the news directory. I have done this multiple times before including installing 4 different wordpress’s on one site to allow for translations and never experienced this problem before.

When the permalinks use the standard url there is no problem to teh main site or the wordpress other than the bad url. Once I implement the custom structure allowing me to use the category/ post name / and ID thats when everything messes up. The url’s are rewritten but the rewrite is affecting the other pages which are not using wordpress

Bump please. … if not can someone direct me to another wordpress forum. I have posted I think 5 issues now over the last month and they have yet to receive a reply

So this is an issue with Godaddy. Funny they tols me it is WordPress…lol All three of my sites are down ??

Lastnight I had to install and uninstall 6 times because the password I set would not work with godaddy. It wasnt the password it was the username for some reason it would not process what I told it to. I know it sounds like maybe I was forgetting but when your using your daughters name for it you dont forget. Anyway I think it has to do with something on godaddys end….give them a call

But there is nothing in it…it should not be blocking anything from anything. I do not have a disallow

All i have is the backup. After I realized I goofed I went and deleted the original wordpress. I do have the posts listed in my backend but they wont show using either directories when accessing the site.

I appreciate the help, but I do not need to get a “I told you so” response. This is the first WP site I have worked with, I understand the basic HTML and this was the reason why I have been so hesitant on switching. Have I read articles …obviously…but that also doesnt mean that everything that is written is easily understood by someone who is just learning this.
