I had the same problem with the dropdown menu after updating the theme, and toggling the “Expand first level of dropdowns when menu is in mobile menu content” option fixed it for now. Thanks for help!

I just realized I had used the shortcode zotpressLib instead of zotpress, now it works just as I inteded.

There is also a dedicated Zotero WordPress plugin for citations and bibliographies called Zotpress. It seems to be popular.
