…ok, I’ve made some progress for sure – right click on browser – ‘inspect’ …the #example identifiers for the page are clearly visible and using them definately sticks the element…

Is that it or is there further refinement/banks of info I can easily access to identify each element?

CLICK ON THE NAVIGATION ARROWS TO MOVE SLIDESHOW on Stefan Boonstra’s website banner AND THE ‘VIDEO’ THUMBNAIL GOES BLACK THEREAFTER. Regardless of browser…or device.

mbr – Please contact Stefan Boonstra if you have the means to do so as it is right that he knows that his once robust and excellent plugin is NOT now functioning correctly. As can be seen from this thread,we are getting no closer to resolving the Iissue…we are just going round in circles.

FYI – The EXACT same problem is happening on Stefan Boonstra’s own website, (THE SLIDESHOW PLUGIN DEVELOPER)…see the banner at the top of his homepage.

(I tried to contact Stefan to let him know the issue weeks ago by Facebook message and direct from his website – no reply unfortunately. )

I have now been able to do a conclusive test on this problem.

I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEST THE EXACT SAME SET-UP (Standard plugin configuration) on a website hosted ON/BY A DIFFERENT HOST/SERVER.

THE RESULT WAS THAT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AS DESCRIBED IN THIS THREAD.

I would appreciate it very much if you could have another think about this issue as I value using your Slideshow plugin very much.

I have now created and tested identical slideshows made up of two Youtube videos on three separate websites, with one of the websites tested NOT running the Slideshow plugin previously until I installed it to run the test. I.e. A brand new install.

THE RESULT: The same problem occurred as described in this thread on each website!

Does this tell us something conclusive? (I will give this same information to my website host company.)

Hi Kevin,

That sounds like an issue with YouTube and the plugin in general, rather than a server problem. I know YouTube have recently made some updates so maybe the API which this was using is not the same anymore, you should consult the developer of the plugin to rectify these issues.

However, as soon as one clicks on the navigation arrows to manually move to next video, the thumbnail disappears (albeit as per before the video will play if clicked on). Could the videos NOT be loading on the first loading of the page????

Do you know if anyone else has reported this glitch? I asked my hosting company to revert the files of my website back 7 days which they did…it did not make any difference.

Do you know whether I’ll loose the slideshows from the database if I delete the plugin?
Huge amount of preparation work to identify each slideshow (setting and content) for each page, and then to rebuild each one if I loose them all??!
Could we missing something very simple?
