Yep, did that. 4 times, in fact. It doesn’t seem to be a plugin issue since it happened with ALL of the plugins deactivated and my browser cache cleared.

Yeah, I’m having this problem too, only in the past 3 weeks and my traffic is increasing, so it’s not from low visits. There is a problem with WordPress 4.2.2 that isn’t being addressed.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Custom Logo vs Header?

Anyone can comment but no, we live in different states and she has never had a login to my account or computer or wordpress install.

I’m sure you’ve checked, but I always forget about my caching software. I have to either clear my cache or turn it off while making changes. Just checking.

Ah…OK. It was the Better WordPress Minify plugin that was doing it. It was helpful for my site to have my js and css moved to the bottom, but I did like having the sticky menu.

Dashboard–>Appearance–>Theme Options–>Front Page Content Boxes–>Enable Front Page Content Boxes (uncheck this box) — and I’d uncheck each box in this section. Then Save All Changes.

This should do it.

Ah, here is the rub (problem). I am not using a page as my front page. I’m using my blog posts. This enables my front page to LOOK like a static page but shows all my most recent blog posts as well as the front content boxes.

Maybe I just can’t have what I want. I want my home page to show exactly what I have but no sidebar. I do, however, want a sidebar on my individual blog posts. It probably won’t work.

If I could set up a static page for my home page that STILL showed the latest blog posts in the 3 columns like I have, I’d jump on that in a heartbeat!

Yeah, when WordPress updated last night, the empty space for the right sidebar showed up on my homepage (but still nothing on my individual posts) so I disabled the sidebar.

I wasn’t sure what annoying space on the far right side of the front page you were talking about, but I entered this code you gave me above to my index.php file. On my computer, the frontpage looks the same, with or without the code.

I have since gone in and re-enabled my sidebar. But with the code you had me enter, the frontpage looks fine but still nothing shows up on individual posts or pages.

Never mind. I put a blank text widget in the blog right sidebar widget section (since I don’t have posts it won’t show up somewhere) and that removed both of the demo statements on my pages.

Very bizarre issue, but it’s dealt with through a cheat. ??
