Yes, when statcounter is enabled, the site opens for a split second and then PROMPTLY goes blank and won’t open again at all.

Donna, I’m sorry that I have somehow made you feel irritated by my disappointment and my questions and that you saw this as a lot of drama. It was never my intention. I was sincerely hoping that there would be an easy fix (as the author actually thought there would be). I always like to check support after problems with an update, and I’ve found there often is an easy fix. Because many of us are in varying stages of expertise, I always assume that others have the same problems as I come across and are unclear how to proceed.

I appreciate your encouragement to always back up (and I do before updating anything). And I appreciate your insight into the author’s procedures.

Donna, I DID back up and I CAN revert back.

I was primarily wanting to let the authors know that this update caused some major problems, particularly the custom/additional CSS which was NEVER supposed to be removed by an update. As this seemed like a deliberate choice of the author to remove the section holding the CSS, they should know that it was a poor choice, and one that can cause many users problems.

I’ve loved this theme (I’ve used it since the first couple of weeks it came out) but have had so many buggy updates that cause me to either revert to an older version or to re-write a bunch of code, I’m planning to switch.

Maybe it’s my phone. It doesn’t look like that on my Galaxy S5. My logo runs past the banner photo and the nav structure. Oh well. I guess that’s the best it will get.

“I’m thinking this may be cache related. Please clear all WP Super Cache caches and then deactivate the plugin. Then clear your browser cache. Do another test purchase and try the links again. Do they work then?

:If not, go to Downloads -> Settings -> Misc (tab) -> File Downloads (section) and change your download method to Redirect. Test once more. Any change in behavior then?”

Dealing with the cache didn’t work for me so I changed the download method to Redirect and that worked.

Resolved.

No, actually, I don’t use Pinit plugin. Any other suggestions?

It’s not WordPress, it’s this theme and the way the authors chose to code it. Not a good way to do things, in my opinion, because, like you, I often desire to put an image in a specific place in my post and with MY chosen sizing. This coding of the theme just takes more autonomy away from the theme users.

Oh yes it IS showing, right there in your screen shot! That white drop down menu INSIDE the green navigation bar (to the right of Books & Stuff and to the left of the search icon) is NOT supposed to be there! If you clicked on the drop down arrow, it would show another menu INSIDE my navigation menu.
