In reply to: [Welcome Pack] Not working with BuddyPress 1.7 (Beta)Hi again,
I see you marked this thread as solved and that’s really interesting as you haven’t provided any solution to our problem.
Can you provide us with a fix or are you planning to upgrade the plugin soon?

In reply to: [Welcome Pack] Not working with BuddyPress 1.7 (Beta)Did you get a chance to look into this problem?
I have the same issue.I’m using the latest version of buddypress 1.7.1 and although I change the text in the ‘Emails’ it keeps sending the default ones.

In reply to: [WP Better Emails] Different template for different emailMy guess is that you kept some default text in your template instead of replacing it with ‘%content%’.
When you have ‘%content%’ in the area you want the text to show it brings the content specified for each notification i.e. Activate Account, Forgot Password, etc.
If you want to change the default content then you will have to use filters.

In reply to: [WP Better Emails] email template not importing at installationSame problem here.
I followed the same approach to fix it.
I thought I should add my comment so they fix this problem and also help others.

In reply to: [Kill Howdy] SuggestionI have already found a filter in order to achieve this.
I’ll check the code you gave me as well.
Thank you for your reply.

In reply to: [BuddyStream] BuddyStream – can't get it working – help?@maddogmcewan do you have a premium account? how did you manage to make it work?
I have purchased a premium account 2 weeks ago and I cannot find a way to make it work. I used the licence key for the cron job and I went through the documentation they have, but nothing.
In addition, they won’t reply to any tickets I sent in their support desk and there’s not other way to communicate with them.
The whole experience is just really bad.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BuddyStream] 3.0.1 problems, doesn't workHi everyone,
Same problem here. I have also gotten the premium membership, but pretty much nothing works.
There are no imports and it only posts updates on Twitter. Won’t work with Facebook.
I have posted a couple of tickets on their ‘Support Desk’, but no answer. It feels like the whole thing is abandoned, which is really upsetting considering the fact that you pay for a premium account.
Let’s just hope that they get back to us soon!

In reply to: [Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type] Question about Privacy SettingsI’m using a child theme designed for buddypress.
They had some other content between the hooks you suggested (<div<?php bp_field_css_class( ‘editfield’ ) ?>>) but I played around a bit with it and managed to figure it out.
Thank you for your help! You are the best! And best support ever!
The thread was helpful.
I made two changes. Hopefully, I don’t need to make more.
File: wp-content/themes/modular-buddypress/registration/register.php
I added<?php do_action( 'bp_custom_profile_edit_fields_pre_visibility' ); ?>
before<?php do_action( 'bp_custom_profile_edit_fields' ) ?>
File: wp-content/themes/modular-buddypress/members/single/profile/edit.php
I added<?php do_action( 'bp_custom_profile_edit_fields_pre_visibility' ); ?>
above<?php do_action( 'bp_custom_profile_edit_fields_pre_visibility' ); ?>
Everything seems to be working now.
Hello Marcus,
I read the thread and it doesn’t look like there will be a fix soon.
We’re going live next week, so there’s no time.
At this point it works fine and it conflicts when I have your plugin activated.
Is there a way to provide a temporarily fix so we can go live next week?I’ll check it and get back to you.
FYI I see the other required fields that I have created i.e. Surname, Gender, etc.
‘Birthdate’ is the only one that won’t show.

In reply to: [Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type] Hide year of birthWhat do I have to check after I add this?
Or is this a solution?
