Turns out my host had detected suspicious activity. I reinstalled WordPress, and made sure all the plugins were upto date and the host has given access again.

I’ve worked it out now. I need to set the template to ‘home-page’ for these to show up.

I actually was trying to find out where they display by default, so I can choose what to put there.

I have entered some text into text boxes for each widget ‘Widget One’ etc. and those text boxes don’t appear anywhere – that’s what’s confusing me.

Hi awkuward, that code removes the actual posts from the blog – creating a blank page, which still has the title blog at the top.

What the OP and I would like to do, is keep the posts – but not have the word ‘BLOG’ at the top of the page.

This is my BLOG page – https://www.amidamandala.com/?page_id=35 but I’d like it to say ‘News’ at the top, not ‘blog’

Ahh brilliant – thank you. A missing forward slash was the cause of all the trouble!

If I go and edit the site URL entry in the options table directly, and put it back to https://www.thebuddhisttherapist.com/wordpress

I get:

Any ideas? I’m a bit lost…

Thanks – that does display the log-in screen, but I just get another 404 when I try to log in…
