Just FYI, we have several sites currently running WP 3.9 and WP Edit without any issue, and theses are running many different plugins as well not issue.

Keep in mind WP 3.9 is the latest STABLE version of WordPress. WordPress 3.9.1 is currently available for developers, 3.9.1 should be out stable in the future.

Josh, you are a TRUE Professional. Thank you for communicating what is going on.

I know a lot of very good developers that have terrible communication skills. This is for all those that fall into that category. Learn to communicate to your Audience. The #1 most frustrating thing is a programmer, developer or anyone you purchased or using their wears or services and they do not communicate.

So Kudos Josh! Thank you for all the hard work, it might not seemed pleasant at the time, but it will pay big dividends.

    Keep up the good work.

Interesting conversation. Don’t believe the one star is a good rating.
Since everyone’s circumstance is different the “$$” value is different between people. So to rank the over all value of this plugin as 1 star, is well, just isn’t right. Even considering, in your opinion, if this service is expensive, would still not bring it to 1 star, for from it.

@jjsararas does have an excellent point, this plugin/service allows one to spend more time doing things that will allow you to make way more than the $3,563 it might cost per year. #1 reason small businesses fail they spend all their time working IN their business instead of working ON their business. This service allows us to work ON our business thus giving us a much better ROI.

What would be very useful is let ever one know what version of the plugin you are using. Since this post there has been at least 1 update to the plugin that might have fixed what ever issue one is having.

Do use all a favor and let us know exactly the Theme, theme version, plugin version you have been using at the time of the review, it sure will be useful later when more plugin revisions have come out.

You really have to love Reviews like this “Don’t recommend”!

These types of reviews are basically worthless. They don’t tell you WHY the person doesn’t recommend it. Makes you wonder if its just an attempt from a competitor to give the plugin a bad name.

Just my 2¢ with Matt Mulligan’s State of WordPress 2013 discussion over this past weekend, it appears soon a person will be able to come back and change the rating for better or worse. In this case maybe for the better. This is an example of how that will come in handy.

I just want to add that I had the same issue as jim.hubbard.

After reading your response above, it now make sense. I think the confusing thing is for those that work with Google Maps on a daily basis when you type in an address we expect the map to center on that new address (marker). That is the confusion.

I see how it works now, so no problem, maybe some place in the install instructions you can put those straight forward instructions you mentioned above.

I almost gave up on this Plugin until I found this thread.

Does anyone know if there is another safe plugin that does something similar?

Thanks zex, yeah after digging deeper into the issue, it turned out to be a .htaccess file issue. All working, as you mention, now.

Always he simple things one over looks ??

what is the correct way to enter the date and what is the date picker i have never seen it?
i keep getting this message no matter how I try to enter the date and I don’t have Easy Post Types either.

    Missing fields: event_start_date.

Since the event is repeated, you must specify an event date.

Dates must have correct formatting. Please use the date
    picker provided.

good news is for the first time today I have finally seen the recurrence column on the right. but when that started showing up dates can’t be entered now.

    Help

    Thanks…..

Micah, the “Moving_Wordpress” link you gave leads to basically a blank page….no content.

    @ webjunk that’s a really good question.

We are working on a project for a client and they are using “Mailing List Provider” as their mailing list service, already has an established list and does not wish to move to anything else.

PHPList is a very good piece of software. I have used it in the past. But I also like Interspire Email Marketer (IEM), its not free, but it is very good worth the money.

The biggest reason I personally no longer use PHPList, IEM etc is because of the high time consuming of developing a positive IP reputation and the other on going headaches associated with manging and keeping the SMTP IP off the many BLACKLISTS. It can be a full time job in order to make sure the maximum number of emails go out. So that is the focus getting the maximum # of emails into in-boxes. Thus I would prefer to let someone else handle those hassles and spend time in a more productive area.

Any way you ask a great question.

Does anyone know if Your Mailing List Provider has a plugin for WordPress, not unlike what MailChimp has?

So far with searching haven’t been able to find anything yet.
