In reply to: Links on Headlines (h2 and h3) are removed when post is savedEsmi — actually peskratts response was very helpful for me. Knowing that it wasn’t just something on my site and that it’s fixed on the next release is good info for me to have.
As I had already done all of the suggestions you had made, without success, I think I’ll just watch the ticket linked above and wait for the update. It’s a pain, but I can manage my frustration with it more now, knowing that it’s being fixed.
Thanks all.

In reply to: Links on Headlines (h2 and h3) are removed when post is savedI had already checked the list and didn’t see this as a known issue, but still thought it might possibly be an issue for others. And I’ve done all of the suggestions except reinstall WP manually.
I assume that’s the final answer…
thanks, Esmi.

In reply to: Links on Headlines (h2 and h3) are removed when post is savedI’m thinking it must be issues with the visual editor.
I was able to style the post within the text editor, but I couldn’t toggle between the visual and text editor or the coding was lost again.
Again – the only formatting that is is screwing with is stripping the links in the h2 and h3 tags (it keeps the links within paragraphs) and adding spaces between page lines.
I would think that you could accomplish that with a text widget. It accepts HTML…
Just create the image map code in html and insert it into that.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard/Admin not loading properlyi did…
I just went ahead and reinstalled WP. It’s taken care of now.
Wish I knew what caused it, but thankful to at least have it resolved.
Thank you for your help!

In reply to: Unable to import bloggerHi James ~ you saw me on another thread asking about this issue. I’m encountering it still and tried the workaround you directed me to. It gave me an error msg as well (basically, it didn’t do anything)
You mentioned workaroundS (multiple) what are the others?

In reply to: error while trying to import from bloggerunfortunately, this didn’t help any… the work around that is mentioned gave me another error (tried it several times…)
Anyone know why this is happening? I see it happened on wordpresss.com recently as well.

In reply to: Can’t edit pages using ‘Visual’ Option in 2.8?I’m showing it in all themes @joespake. I’m seeing it in Thesis, and in a Woo theme as well. But I tried other themes and it does the same thing
my hat is off to you @jdembowski, for the response. No worries ;0)
We get that @jdembowski… but your responses aren’t helping people who are already stressed out about this situation.
I am not looking for a white knight to swoop in and fix it.
I DID do everything that you keep saying should have been done. I’m not WP expert, but I’m not a newbie either. So If I’m having problems, I can’t imagine how people new to it are feeling.
Last I checked, this was a “SUPPORT” forum.

In reply to: Can’t edit pages using ‘Visual’ Option in 2.8?I’m having the same issue and had started a thread (with photos of what I’m seeing (for anyone not understanding) — I didn’t realize this thread was already going…
Can’t resolve my issue.
Another tidbit – it happened on all FOUR of my blogs. So it’s not some random thing (All four use different themes and different plugins etc)
