My problem with 3.9 wasn’t about small spaces. There were no spaces at all. The blog posts just ran on and on in one long column with no paragraphs at all. And now I am feeling very wary about updating in the future. Will skip 3.9 and hopefully 4 will be ok.

I used TextEdit on a Mac. I think I will wait for version 4 of WordPress before I upgrade again. My hosting company restored my blog to version 3.8. Then about 5 minutes after it was completed I received the following notice of an automatic upgrade from WordPress. (I wonder why they do that!)

I don’t think that could have been the problem because I always use a plain text editor for my posts.

I have managed through my hosting company to revert my site to an earlier date which removes the upgrade to 3.9.

That is a great temporary solution but the problem now is what do I do for future upgrades?

Thank you Bemdesign. I appreciate your detailed instructions. But I will have to hire someone. The trick is to find someone who can do it without making a bigger hashup of things.

Well, I’m glad I’m not the only one as it means that there is indeed a problem with 3.9. But it also means that we won’t be able to write new blog posts until there is a fix for it.

I had the same problem as thegourmetfoodie with Sociable as it didn’t appear below posts. Then I read and followed figaro’s advice and it worked perfectly on my blog craftandcreate.
