Figured it out, it was due to a media file having the same URL, all good now…

It worked for me but i suppose everyones setup is different…

I finally managed to resolve the issue. There was a .htaccess file in the wp-includes folder which I renamed and all is working fine now.

Disabling yoast and all plugins does not work for me. Like @robbie3 this is only effecting some of the 65 sites I have built and manage. They all have the same setup as in theme, plugins and hosting so its really strange. I have gone through everything I could on my end and got my hosting provider, Siteground to check everything on there end but still no luck. I would really appreciate if this could be addressed urgently as my my clients cannot update there site properly and I have had to revert to a backup with WordPress 4.9.8 installed…

All jobs are created through wp-admin.

My client is adding the available jobs through the backend like they have always done…

Its nothing to do with Google indexing the pages, they index them when I submit them through search console, its do with the SEO for the homepage which would big time help if these jobs listed where showing as hyperlinks in the text only view which they are not, this is the issue im talking about.

My client is submitting the job listing through the backend.

Every other location works fine, except Hong Kong for some very strange reason.

I tend to disagree. The text only version is what Googles bots see when they visit your site and they determine what you site is about through the use of H1 / H2 / H3 tags and hyperlinks to name but a few.

Here is a screenshot of another wordpress site using a different job listing plugin and you can see a major difference. All the job listings are jumping out because they are displaying as hyperlinks.

If this cannot be resolved, my client is going to have to use a different job listing plugin.
