I have tried it on multiple sites (all using the Weaver theme).

PS: I also noticed that a number of settings does not work. As an example changing the snow colour….

Hi Jaap. The tabel-field is utf8… The point is that I wanted to use & # … symbolics. This is about the Album-description.
If i include this list:
‘ = & # 39 ;
& = & # 38 ;
: = & # 58 ;
” = & # 34 ; All these listed above work. However values higher than these do not and give the ? in s wiebertje…..
The following do not display correctly:
? = & # 235 ;
? = & # 246 ;
ü = & # 252 ;
? = & # 239 ;
? = & # 228 ;

Note that i added blanks to have them show-up here….

Back to the original problem: Use of the & # 228 ; (without the blanks (even in code it display correctly here) in an Album description still gives the ?

For now I’ll use ?…. that works but to prevent future problems with e.g. DB unload/load, I wanted to use the symbolics…

Note: In my first post the string “& # 228 ;” was meant… but translated correctly.

Als “< br / >” was converted …sorry for that…

I’ll have a check with the settings you suggest.

Just for info: The special characters in my WP database got messed up after a server move and table unload/reload. Even the standard WP XML Export transform the specials into nasty strings.

I wonder, if their is a connection to an other problem I now see.

I changed existing description (to correct the above) and now get a message “Unbalanced tags in description” when I put in
</br>
or
</br></br>

These have been in the description and worked well previously. Also the problem does not show up in all descriptions ? Sorry but this is odd….

I just
1- added (drag/drop) the Meteor Slides Widget to the Header Horizontal Widget Area
2 – and checked “Hide Header Image”.

That’s it.

Just restored the above site back to WPPA 3.7.6. so it is no longer an example of the problem as it works again.

AI same problem here. No full size anymore…. But still on WP 3.4.1 !!

The slideshow is perfectly left-aligned with the advertisement above.

It looks as though the thumbnail definition is too width to fit the left-sitebar and goes over the left-sitebar right-margin.
I think that the Width as defined in the slidebar slideshow is too long.

Why it shows up now ? I don’t know.

Where have you hidden the left sidebar widget slideshow ?

I do not see it on your pages !

Setting – In Table I
D Album cover related settings
1 Max Cover width Maximum width for a album cover display.

I think setting this small will place the albums next to each other (left/right) rather than top bottom… depending on the width (how many will fit)

1 Column Width

Well it can all be changed in the WPPA SETTINGS.
E.g Visibility, Backgrounds, Fonts and so on.

But yes there is a lot you can change so better take your time to get acquainted with the Settings table structure.

I think this is not specific to WPPA but more to your theme.

I also use WEAVER II and I think you need to change some settings in Header Widget Area Widgets under Main Options – Header. The settings and behavior of the header widgets are not always obvious and may require some experimenting.

It also depends on the number of widgets you are using and the space you give each of them.
