However, if I like both oranges and apples equally, both get one vote each from one individual.

The fact that multiple choices can be made renders redundant the vote per person attribute.
The person does not remain important any longer.
The popularity of a particular option does.

Therefore, in my example, it is perfectly valid to count both oranges and apples voted up by one vote each. This could even lead to a tie if enough number of voters decided they liked both fruits equally.

It is illogical to assume that if I happened to select oranges first, my selection for apples is diminished in value.

This is for anyone else who searches for an answer to the same problem: the revision to rating doesn’t immediately show, but it happens.

The process, then, is –

Click to submit your own review (don’t look for an edit button) and your own original review opens for edit.

Don’t worry when the star rating change doesn’t show, it will. Check back later.

That’s it.

Same thing just happened to me with BackupWordpess – guess I’ll just wait and see if it shows up…

How the heck do I revise my rating?? Please don’t say it isn’t necessary – I know you can do without it, but I can’t.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. I had wanted to respond a couple of days later because I am neck deep in work right now. But having just had an exchange with the most
uncivil and intolerant (not to mention irresponsible) plugin creator I have ever come across, I figured I could surely make time for someone as courteous as you ??

I just hope you are able to fix your stuff to a degree where the maximum number of people can benefit from it.

Of course it wasn’t your plugin’s fault. My site just happened to crash the instant I clicked activate – just like the other person’s site did.

And since your Holiness has fixed the ‘bug’, of course it must be fixed.(What did you use? Insecticide?)

You are trying to sell your paid services by creating a free plugin, not exactly being Gandhi. And you don’t even know how to take a negative rating where you deserve it – even the moderator has to ask you to keep it civil.

Okay, if this is of any use to you: activating your plugin messed up the .htaccess pretty bad. Removing it from server end got the site back up. Lucky I had good – no, Great tech support, so got away with 29 minutes downtime (at Peak Traffic, I might add).

We appreciate the effort you put in behind the free stuff, but please be a little more careful or you could really mess up other people’s lives.
