Ok, after getting no responses and also seeing that people here seem to be having the reverse problem (of wordpress adding more than expected linebreaks), I decided to re-upload the whole installation again. It worked! So, probably the problem was that some files didn FTP correctly last night.

So, I compared my backuped database to the new one. Posts have \r\n intact in the database. Problem is that wordpress is not spitting post content with <p> when its supposed to.

No one likes to read writing that never pauses for a line break. To break your writing up into paragraphs, use double spaces between your paragraphs. WordPress will automatically detect these and insert HTML paragraph tags into your writing.”

So, this conversion is not happening automatically since I upgraded to wordpress 2.0.2. It was happening when I had wordpress 1.5.

Guys, to resolve the output already started error, just make sure that recent-posts.php file has absolutely nothing (not even blank line) before its <?php tag… ‘<‘ should be the first character of the plugin file.

I am also facing the same issue in my wordpress blog admin since I have started my blog. I am running this on FireFox1 mainly, but quicktags dont appear in IE6 as well. All I am seeing is the link ‘quicktags’ which takes me to the quicktags help page.

Strangely, I have another wordpress blog where it displays the quicktags buttons and they work well! Are there any blog specific configurations which let you turn this on/off?

Note that I haven’t touched any code for quicktags or anything else in both cases. Kindly help.
