in fact i already try that but not working, however when i decide to re-install wordpress to see how things go, it happens to have the most update version, namely 4.4, available, so i install it and things seem going back to normal (with even faster speed), but for about 12 hours my site is partially down again with the same previous problem ….

i just re-install 4.4 again and things are normal again, i hope this time it will last

thank you so much Evan and catacaustic, I started the post after 2 hours panic, contacting my host and the theme developer, and all a sudden it comes back and on the dashboard it shows a FATAL ERROR WARNING stating the plugin Jetpack is causing the error and need to be reinstalled. I decide to delete it.

In fact it is my host Stablehost helps me out as follows:

I have now renamed the plugin to jetpack_bak and now the site is loading fine. The issue might be caused due to incompatibility with the current WordPress version and the plugin. Please contact the plugin vendor and fix any errors.
