In reply to: Errors in chrome, but not in SafariWell, I nuked all of the other themes that I wasn’t using, and nuked all of my old plugins, and re-installed fresh plugins, and that seems to have worked. My dreamhost guy suggested I look at in incognito and that worked and I was able to login, so something had gotten screwed up somewhere along the line. Seems to be working now. So I wil mark this as resolved.
Thanks for your help! @surviving404.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Errors in chrome, but not in SafariWell, I changed them both to https:// thinking that would be that, and now I get (on both Safari and Chrome):
This page isn’t working
https://www.clownlink.com redirected you too many times.

In reply to: [Dynamic News Lite] Removing white space at top/header issuesThanks so much! And to be clear, I added that to my “Additional CSS” page on the Child theme. When the theme next updates, that child theme and that CSS won’t be affected?

In reply to: Can't modify Header Woe'sThanks– will try commenting out and changing (temporarily) the theme tonight. Our event is in 10 days, so I can’t really mess around with the design too much, and can only work late at night. Fortunately, the site seems to mostly work, except for when I try to log in/out or put a password on a post. (And didn’t really start happening until the latest WordPress update)
I’m thinking it’s my (older) theme doing something wonky. But it doesn’t look like the designer updates anymore, and as I said, I can’t mess around too much– our event is coming up soon, and I can’t have the site go down.
Is there a way to backtrack the WordPress installations?

In reply to: Can't modify Header Woe'sYes, there is no space after the closing ‘?>’
But that line is 2285, and the error message says 2284.
Could the function be creating a weird space in the header?
Could it be a different file?
Wordfence says that none of my files differ with what’s offered by WordPress (although I assume it doesn’t include files like config.php and functions.php, which are by nature different.
I’m stymied.

In reply to: [Max Magazine] RSS Feed Not Working with ChromeHi– my RSS feed is not working in chrome–
The feed is https://www.digitalfamilysummit.com/feed/
I’m getting an error:error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
??It works in Safari and Firefox (just shows the feed, or offers to install it in Igoogle)
??The Feed Validator says: Congrats- this is a valid feed!
https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.digitalfamilysummit.com%2Ffeed%2F
??I installed the RSS fixer, but it doesn’t seem to have done anything.
? I looked for spaces in my function.php code and header.php, but didn’t see any.
Any other ideas?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Never received message, but says it was sent. And this solution will only work if Dreamhost is hosting your site. (Although it’s possible another hosting service has a similar limitation.)

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Never received message, but says it was sent.Okay, I sorted it out. Dreamhost only allows dreamhost emails to send. Emails were getting bounced.
If you change the SENDER to your own domain, it will capture it. However, it will not allow you to reply to the email, which is not a big problem.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Never received message, but says it was sent.PS–I’m sending it to a gmail account, so I can’t check my logs.
But it doesn’t appear in the spam folder either.
