I think you should be able to download the TLA code as a widget/plugin, and simply drag the widget onto your sidebar from the Presentation screen.

With all plugins disabled, the problem still occurs for everyone except signed in users (basically just the blog authors). Normal commenters continue to experience comment link attributes being stripped.

I just tried it, and the exact same situation (href stripped out) occurred. This was with ALL plugins disabled.

Thank you, that did the trick and the plugin seems to work with WP 2.2.2.

drmike: Thanks for that awesome FAQ link. The problem was an extra space in the middle of one of the files. The FAQ showed me how to narrow down where the problem was, and now my feeds work.

As HandySolo mentioned, I also thought it might be an extra space at the beginning/end of one of the plugins, but the problem still occurred even when plugins were all disabled.

Ah ha, the index.php file had a space in between the command that I added for referrer karma, which fixed kolaap.com (the extra line break was not at the beginning or the end, but rather in between two php commands). I didn’t do anything to the other blog, however, and it just started working again on its own…

I uploaded the wp-rss2.php to the root directory in both places (did a delete and upload, rather than an overwrite), which is why this is so mysterious. I also tried fiddling with the permissions, even trying 777 and 755, but that didn’t seem to change anything.

Also, the error seems to be different between the two blogs. The kolaap.com site has errors for both the RSS feeds, and displays a message about the header already being sent. What does this mean?

Anyone else have this problem?

This has been going on for a while now, and it manifested itself when I only had those two plugins installed. I understand that this seems to be a rare problem, and wanted to know if anyone had heard of it happening to anyone else, or what it might be caused by.

This plugin seems to modify the WP-Admin page, but I was hoping to duplicate (but with different rss feeds) the dashboard on a static page on my blog. Can this plugin do that?

I have spaminator, spam karma, and various mtdewvirus comment plugins installed, and that’s it.

Yes, it is enabled, but even if the user fills it in, the comment shows up with those fields empty on the admin pages. I’ve tested it so I know something is filtering these values out.

I noticed it is also stripping out the commenter’s webpage url in addition to email address…. any idea why?

For those of you with blank comment pages, does it maybe have something to do with the CHMODE access of your comments page?

I am also having a problem with my comments since when commenters type in their name and email into the comments fields, the email portion gets mysteriously stripped out and shows up as blank even in the admin/manage pages. This is with WP 1.5 and with a different template than the default or classic.

Anyone?
