Unless I’m mistaken, your whole wp install would need to be at that root level – not inside a folder called blog.

Personally, I wanted to use mudbomb’s excellent WYSIWYG to make things *easier* for my authors, so having to post then edit, or even mess about turning quicktags on and off just doesn’t cut it.

Yippee! I found the problem:

It won’t mean much for me to try and debug it, but I will try to let the author know.

amirs, perhaps I am not understanding you, but what you last wrote would simply be a question of your home page being a static (non-wp) page of your creation, index.htm or index.php or whatever, that sits in your defined root directory. Then your wp would be installed to a sub-dir, say, blog, and simply linked from the home page. This would allow you to treat your root dir like any other server situation.

And if your concern is preserving the design of your site overall, it wouldn’t be difficult to pick a wp page and, perhaps using it’s page source, create your home page based on it.

Removing the cat base has it using the default /categories/ but with the same problem, and again all is fine with the classic theme.

I’m going to use my meagre skills to trace what’s different between default & classic themes.

Just wondering … for Permalinks structure I use the standard:
/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
And for the Category base:
/cat

Now, is there a particular reason people seem to use /archives/ as a prefix to these?

Something I’m finding with Adhesive 2.1 beta on WP 1.5.1.2 …

If the default mode for writing is set to “Simple controls”, then the sticky check box appears as it should on the advanced editing page. But if the default writing mode is “Advanced controls”, the check box does not appear anywhere.

Does anyone know the current link for the EzStatic documentation?

The link above, and many links at asymptomatic, don’t seem to be working.
