At some point, it did start accepting fediverse replies as comments on the blog posts, but I’m not actually sure what random thing I tried did the trick. At least one of my problems was that I was trying to reply with @-mentions only, so I could troubleshoot without sending my followers to a site that didn’t entirely exist yet. Global visibility definitely works there now.
I am still having a little trouble configuring the post content, though. [ap_excerpt length=”400″] only gives me 11 characters and an ellipsis.
