No errors. I entered the [shortcode] referred to as the “shortcode” into a page/post and the shortcode text became a hyperlink and did not display the album on the page/post, as I thought it would.

Thanks, Brook. I must have shown initiative because I basically did as you suggested. Plus, having the calender at the top of the right-hand sidebar makes it view-able by anyone visiting the site.

Many thanks for the reply, Cais! Yes, I believe the permission settings give me write access, which is why this is puzzling.
I assume that when the official release occurs I will receive an “update plug-in” notification and I will definitely give it a try. All we need for our non-profit site is a basic photo gallery mechanism to help us stay better organized.

Okay, renamed plugins subfolder to something else and I was able to login and see dashboard. Thanks Shawn!
Not sure of my next step at this point, should I create an empty plugins subfolder?

THANKS, fitnessbodyblog! I found the style.css file in /wp-content/themes/hueman. Is it in that file where I make the edit? (sorry, bit of a newcomer to this).
Also, when I locate “.site-title” the code looks like (and I assume this is where I would change “float: left” to “float: none”?):
