In reply to: [Awesome Photo Gallery] Looks simple but…No errors. I entered the [shortcode] referred to as the “shortcode” into a page/post and the shortcode text became a hyperlink and did not display the album on the page/post, as I thought it would.
Thanks for the reply.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Mantra] Mantra settings not operatingThanks for that link. Didn’t see the announcement. All seems back to normal now. Thanks for a fine flexible theme!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] adding a link to the /events page on a menuThanks, Brook. I must have shown initiative because I basically did as you suggested. Plus, having the calender at the top of the right-hand sidebar makes it view-able by anyone visiting the site.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Can I control spacing of the events list in a widget?Many thanks, Brook! It is certainly something I can live with, particularly because I find the Events Calendar plugin so easy to use.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] adding a link to the /events page on a menuMany thanks, ddadian! Unfortunately, the page created by Events Calendar is not listed (even after I reset Permalinks). I suppose I will have to take your second bit of advice.

JohnMany thanks for the reply, Cais! Yes, I believe the permission settings give me write access, which is why this is puzzling.
I assume that when the official release occurs I will receive an “update plug-in” notification and I will definitely give it a try. All we need for our non-profit site is a basic photo gallery mechanism to help us stay better organized.
THanks again.
regards

In reply to: Stuck at "admin" login stepThanks! I am fortunate in that I have very few plugins. All this non-profit site needs is a simple calendar and a simple photo gallery plug-in.

In reply to: Stuck at "admin" login stepOkay, renamed plugins subfolder to something else and I was able to login and see dashboard. Thanks Shawn!
Not sure of my next step at this point, should I create an empty plugins subfolder?

In reply to: Stuck at "admin" login stepMany thanks, Shawn. I will start with #1, as the one thing I recall doing was trying to update a calendar plug-in before things went kaflooey.

In reply to: [Hueman] Would like to create a link to all postsThank you, Watta! I had not thought of that. I created a new category (“News”) that I then assigned to all the posts. Following your instructions, it did just what I needed it to do. ??

In reply to: [Hueman] Center logo in headerThank you, Andrew, I gave that a try and it worked like a charm! ??

In reply to: [Hueman] Center logo in headerTHANKS, fitnessbodyblog! I found the style.css file in /wp-content/themes/hueman. Is it in that file where I make the edit? (sorry, bit of a newcomer to this).
Also, when I locate “.site-title” the code looks like (and I assume this is where I would change “float: left” to “float: none”?):
.site-title { font-size: 42px; font-weight: 600; letter-spacing: -0.5px; float: left; line-height: 60px; padding: 10px 0; }.site-title a { display: block; color: #fff; float: left; max-width: 100%; white-space: nowrap; }
.site-title a img { float: left; display: block; max-width: 100%; max-height: 60px; height: auto; padding: 0; margin: 0 auto; -webkit-border-radius: 0; border-radius: 0; }
.site-description { font-size: 16px; font-style: italic; color: #fff; color: rgba(255,255,255,0.5); float: left; margin-left: 20px; line-height: 60px; padding: 10px 0; }

In reply to: [Hueman] Center logo in headerAlexander, forgive my ignorance, but do you mean that we should place that code in the Custom CSS section of “Styling?” Thanks!
