• Over the last few days, our website has stopped updating in real time after changes are made. Our team primarily uses WPBakery Page Builder to create and update pages but even our WordPress developer said they were also experiencing issues getting changes to publish live.

Some members of our team have found that making one change and publishing is successful in pushing to the live site. Others find no updates are saved no matter what they do.

This appears across all pages of our site but it also does not seem entirely consistent. For example, I was able to edit a page at the beginning of this week and the page successfully updated, but when I tried to edit another page, nothing was updating there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I assume that you have activated cache or minified js, css files.

if you have a plugin that provides these things, try disabling it, clearing the cache and adding a post if it is displayed in real time.

We did have a plugin installed that was providing those things. It was disabled however. I just deleted it and cleared cache.

I think however I identified the problem – We built the pages initially through WPBakery Page Builder and it looks like some pages were switched to Elementor. When I tried editing a page in Elementor, the changes were published.

How do we switch back to WPBakery?
