  • Yes,

Just go into your documentor guide and at the top there is a ‘settings’ tab next to the ‘sections’ tab. It is located under the advanced settings. There is a switch for Suggest edits or visitor feedback (Can’t remember which it is, but it’s one of those :p )

Just deselect and save and it should be gone.

    Best of luck

I also created a test on my site and copy pasted your text to see if that was causing the issue. I created a documentor guide and cut and pasted your text from your site into mine.

    Example:
    § 1. Navn og omr?de
    § 2. Form?l
    § 3. Deltagende klubber

I can confirm that before I added your text it worked fine. It is the inclusion of the characters “§ ” that appear to be causing the issue.

Unfortunately, it is not as easy as just editing the name of each section and saving. I found this out the hard way. Once you create the name in Documentor, it does not change the reference link. You will more than likely have to duplicate each section and not include special characters.

    Example:
    1. Go into your “add section” area of your guide, and “Add Section”

    2. Create another § 1. Navn og omr?de but name it Navn og omr?de
You can add the numbers again if you like but Documentor will number it anyway

    3. Cut and paste all of your text from the original § 1. Navn og omr?de and paste it into the new Navn og omr?de

    4. Delete the § 1. Navn og omr?de

    5. Continue on with this process until you have removed and replaced all the “§” symbols

Press save and try it out.

It worked for me on my side after I did all those steps in a test.

I just checked your reference page and saw that you already had the issue of the PDF figured out. I can confirm that that page is not working on Firefox. I just tested mine on Firefox and it is working so I am wondering if it has something to do with the template settings.

I see your site and it looks great! If it is not ‘live’ right now you may want to try a different template and see if that is causing the issue, then switch it back after you confirm. We are using the Harest Pro template and have not had any issues.

I am very new to both Word Press and Documentor but I am just trying to help as much as possible so I am sorry if I am slowing you down more than helping you out.

Finally, I did not ever get any response for my initial posted Documentor issue from the WP community so I ended up contacting them through their tech support link. They did get back to me after a couple of days. Here is the link:

    Best of luck.

    This issue has been resolved.

We needed to increase our memory. I did not do it, but our system admin did it and it worked like a charm. He also mentioned that the original setup had the memory setup to system defaults, so he increased our memory allocation by 3. (Not sure what that means, but just wanted to be as informative as possible here. ??

Hey sorry for the delayed response. I saw your question in my email in box but being new to this whole word press thing I figured it was just notifying me of questions submitted to the actual Documentor support team through their support site. Hope this answer helps.

Try this: From withing the Add Section area, after you have created your Documentor guide and have finished adding all your sections, go to the bottom of the screen and click the “Save” button and then click the “Generate PDF” button and then click the “Save” button one more time. All are located at the very bottom of the screen.

After you click that button the PDF will generate and you should be able to go back to that page and see the little PDF icon.

Some more info about the PDF generation:

    1. Documentor will generate the PDF but you may need to take a look at the resulting PDF to make sure it does not have large spaces between sections. If you do, you will need to go into each section and edit the spaces in using the text editor option. There is a tab located in the top right corner of each section when you open it for editing.

    2. I am not sure if this is how you are setup, but on mine, after the PDF has been generated it will be stored in your media folder. Every time you make an update to that Documentor guide, you will need to save it and click the “Generate PDF” button again so that it will re-create the PDF with the updates.

    OK I hope that helps.
