  • I upgraded to WP 2.1 and had similar RTE problems – these have now been fixed (for me at least) on a separate thread. Same things might work for you:

    Is the problem the same in IE and Firefox? I only had a problem with Firefox, and clearing out the cache worked a treat.

    First I tried IE instead of Firefox, and RTE was fine.

    Then I cleared Firefox cache, and now I have RTE there as well.

    I’ve also just upgraded to 2.1
    My WYSIWYG toolbar only contains the following:
    bold, italic, split post and spellchecker
    Should there be more? I have activated visual editor under Your Profile

    Similar problem – I upgraded to 2.0.6 last week. Once a post is saved (Save or Save and Continue Editing) I lose rich text editor icons completely, and my entry switches to HTML formatting.
    My cursor shows the ‘hourglass’ and the browser (Firefox 2.0.0.1) suggests that it has not yet fully completed downloading the page (although the browser says ‘Done’ at the bottom).
    Hope that makes sense – advice welcomed
