I had to turn off the plugin for now, as our content people were being overwhelmed with moderation, but here are my settings:
Default article settings: only “Allow people to post comments on new articles” checked.
Other comment settings: “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail” and “Automatically close comments on articles older than [365] days” checked.
E-mail me whenever – nothing checked
Before a comment appears – nothing checked
Comment Moderation – [1] or more links, and a robust list of odd ascii characters.
Comment Blacklist – a long list culled from spam, but nothing “normal”.
Avatars – off
When Crowd Control is enabled:
Administer notifications – checked
Crowd Control threshold – [3]

Is 3 too low/high? None of the users had links in their posts, and none of the posts had been reported more than once…

Hah! Nevermind. For some reason, my shortener went away (an upgrade, perhaps). I have re-entered API stuff and all is well.

I don’t think it is resolved in 2.7.8 – I have updated but no SURL yet. I do get this error:

Actually, it did not fix the author changing problem. I will open a different ticket for that, however.

Same problem here. And when I use a text link, clicking it opens a lightbox with nothing in it, and nothing plays. ??

I haven’t yet tested whether it will solve the problem I am having with assignation of authors to posts, tho. It shouldn’t effect that, right? Any ideas on that one?

No, I am still having this problem, and I have installed the latest version of WP-AutoSocial (0.4.3). It takes me through the steps, but when I get back to the plugin settings page, no token. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there is a way, I can’t find it. Anyone?

Actually, it is happening on my 2.5.1 installs as well, and I just noticed that, on these, there is no longer the update alert for 2.6 on the dashboard that was there just days ago… Any news on this?

You are not. And it seems that somehow some of the spam is making it in “approved” even though it triggered the spam/moderation filtering I have set up (anything with a link, etc.)

Someone has figured out a hack. Is there anyone working on this?

I have been having the same problem, but have not yet found a satisfactory answer. Check out this post for a similar problem, esp. toward the end. Perhaps some of it will help you, but it hasn’t helped me yet. Good luck!
