Good call. Plugin AdSense Manager 4.0.3 was causing the issue. PHP 5.6.40.
I believe this issue to be resolved at this time. Thank you.
Chrome and Firefox show identical behavior.

Akismet: OKDeleting and reinstalling Jetpack Plugin made it so I can publish. That was my primary concern. I was/am posting from WP Admin Dashboard.
I noticed a new problem. When I go to the Jetback Dashboard or the Jetpack Settings, all I see is the WordPress logo essentially in the right-hand area. There is no controls on the page to do anything. No dashboard. No settings. The Stats page does show up. I took a screenshot of the issue.

According to the guide you sent me, that’s supposed to have a section for “Connections” etc. Well, as you can see it’s all missing.

In reply to: Bug: wp_insert_post returns ID number without postingHAHAHAHA. Well. Thanks for your input. Actually it wasn’t that because I was printing $my_post before calling the line and ID definitely wasn’t set.
Turns out the relative include of “../../wp-load.php” was snagging another wordpress installation and inserting posts in the wrong wordpress installation. The numbers were lining up in a spooky way. I think I must have tweaked the location of my files at some point and the relative include took hold of another installation without an error. Looks like I have some cleaning up to do.
Thanks for your time.

In reply to: Critical Bug: Special Emoji character destroys draftI think it’s hilarious.
Well they marked it dupe saying it’s related to support for new UTF character sets coming in 4.2. So cheers.

In reply to: Critical Bug: Special Emoji character destroys draftIronic. When I submitted the bug via Trac, the special character broke Trac and truncated my bug report the same as it destroyed my draft in WordPress.
