Still need help with this… It’s Jetpack causing the issue, half the images on my site are not loading…

Thank you, I have sorted it. For anyone else:

The conflict was with ‘Vafpress Post Formats UI‘ plugin. No idea what this does or how it got into my plugins, I don’t remember installing this.

I have deactivated it and deleted it. Problem solved.

further UPDATE:

Vafpress Post Formats UI is a plugin needed by anyone using the soledad theme. Once you update this plugin and update soledad, the issue should be sorted. If not, CTRL + F5 to refresh WordPress and it should be sorted.

Since soledad is having automatic update issues via WordPress, you have to update it manually through their guide here: https://pencidesign.ticksy.com/article/15633/

Hi,

I am still having trouble with the plugin. I want the pinit button to show on hover over desktop and the pinit button to show on the image via mobile (the pinit button shows as you scroll down the webpage or click on the image).

Now, when I do it, absolutely nothing happens on desktop or mobile.

Right now the only things I have effecting images are the smush plugin and lazy loading.

Thank you for clarifying, I will look into the plugin you suggested.

I have tried unticking the allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and track backs) and it didn’t work.

For more insight:
I posted a new blog, and within the new blog it had internal links to 2 other blogs. Those 2 other blogs then created new comments from text within the new blog.

Maybe its a plugin issue then? I will try the above suggestions but with this new insight if anyone has any other ideas it would be appreciated.

The site which I’m having troubles with at the moment is a staging website.

Before I do this, I just want to clarify that my main LIVE site works fine.

The problem I have, is when I use the WP Stage plugin, the staged sites dashboard is the problem. When I click ‘plugins’ etc on the left hand side nothing happens. Just the ‘The site’ banner.

Should I still do what you said even though the live site works fine? Seems like a WP Stage plugin issue?

Regarding another issue, is it possible to have social icons under my recent blog posts via the home page? Is this theme related or plugin related?

Thanks for the reply.

I have a problem regarding these instructions via the link you posted.

“Next, use the Customizer back button twice to go back to the Customizer settings home page. Click the Featured Content section to manage those settings”.

I do not see ‘Featured Content’ settings anywhere. I also can not activate jetpack, due to this message: “Error Details: The registration secrets sent by your site do not match the ones the Jetpack server has on record.”

Is this because I am editing on a staged website? If so, does this then mean I can not use the slider feature on the staged website, and I would have to edit the actual website in order to get this feature?

Thank you for your help. This worked, however, I have the meta data (author, date, category and comments) showing. I think this is the reason I went full width template before.

Do you know how to completely remove this information but at the same time keeping the comments visible?
