In reply to: Help with featured image file size issueThanks for the reply.
I was hoping #2 would be the easy route, perhaps a simple switch in the code to tell it to use the “large” image instead of original file. Sounds like it will be more difficult than that. I’ll reach out to the theme creator to see.
I’m not sure I understand the difference between options 1 & 3. It seems like you’re suggesting I download all the images (300 or so posts so 1200 image?) and manually re-size and resave the original files (but only the full size version) then re-upload, overwriting what was originally there.
Is that correct? Problem is, if I ever wanted to optimize for retina or design a larger viewing experience, I’d have to undo all the work. Correct?
Thanks again for taking the time to help. I wish there was a plugin that defined what version of a file “featured image” would use.
I just recently (in the last few days) switched to W3TC from WP Super Cache so I can’t answer that for certain. The WP-Minify plugin also had this problem however.
Having the same problem with my Lightbox on WordPress. Disabling the JS minification fixes the issue but then my Google Page Speed ranking drops a full point.

How do I fix this?
Thanks

Yep, it’s a bug in the widget code… it will be fixed in just a second (and will appear as a new update).Jacob Gillespie | August 9, 2011 at 12:14 pm | Reply
Should be fixed now… update will show up as v1.8.2Works great on Safari now, testing Chrome and Firefox….
Firefox is working but Chrome still isn’t. I disabled WP Super Cache and reset Chrome. Can someone else test this out and let me know if I’m alone?
This is the link to my blog. I see the Google +1 buttons on posts but not on the sidebar under the widget “Sexy People +1”
Thanks!

In reply to: embed/object tag compatibilityI fixed the gvisit and found that almost all the errors were with my music code… though they are’nt actually errors.
Here is a page that has only 18 errors but they are not real errors either. i’m confused

I am so lost now.

In reply to: embed/object tag compatibilityi have used the same code for months with no problems. Most of the things that the validator said were wrong are infact, not wrong. Missing > or < that really are there, such as parenthesis around height and width, it says some are missing but they are all there in my code. i have some errors with javascript but it is not my code, it is copy and pasted from gvisit and the google analyzer (through a plugin). i validated my code a while ago and got the seal of approval. validate a page without the music and i get 24 errors, most of which are connected to WP 2.0’s picture attachment or gvisit’s code, plus some random stuff since updating to 2.0.
I am going to add the “missing” < and > where it say they should be, though I don’t believe they have to be there, never needed them before, also other ppl use my code (meetjustin.com) and have no issues…
Thanks for the reply and ideas. Maybe i was cheap with my HTML but it sure worked before 2.0… hmmmm
