  • You could try using the 2 plugins from GaMerZ. They shouldn’t be too hard to join together. Of course, I mean the WP 1.2 Stats and WP 1.2 User Online, located here: https://www.lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming.php (forgive me for not making it a clicky link. I have no idea where the backtics should go when formatting a link, and I don’t want to screw the page up).

I’m currently running a slightly modified version of the stats on my site (took out the tabels and trimmed out some of the display options), and I have used the Users Online plugin in the past. Both work very well.

Hope that helped a bit! ??

No problem. ?? That layout is fantastic, by the way!

twoalone, the file you should edit is header.php and the section you need to change is located just under the body tag. Look for the hmenu div, and edit the links inside that list. ??

    Hope that helped a bit!

No, it isnt free, and the code is far from valid (out of the box). ??

I was merely mentioning the system because their whitelist/blacklist works perfectly. I’m using EE on a few other sites, and (as with everything) as long as you keep the blacklist updated, nothing gets through.

I was only thinking that something similar might be worth looking into. ??

ExpressionEngine has a nice blacklist/whitelist setup that does exactly what you mentioned, Kyte; and it works very well. It would be real nice if something like this was built into 1.5.

Just woke up and wanted to say thanks to Matt for the reply (and sorry for being a nag about it. That wasn’t the intent) and the link from 2fargon. Learned much from it. That’s all from me. I’m just going to sit back and see where this goes, as you guys have given me more than enough info to keep busy. Thanks again. ??

I have to agree with Joni on this one. Without an explanation, it’s about as credible as me saying I’m God. you may find yourself asking: “Well where’s the evidence to back that up?” I just told you that I’m God…
    See my point?
Again, like Joni implied and StopWPCensorship said, any little bit of info would be better then just leaving everyone hanging like this. It only makes everything smell fishy…
Just my thoughts. Not trying to start a new war, fuel anyone’s fire, etc. I’m simply curious to know what the flaws are. Being a Gemini user myself, if there is anything to look out for, or avoid, I’d like to be able to do just that (not that I have any real worries).

I’m also waiting to see what the supposed “fundamental problems” and “usability issues” with Gemini (and seemingly the other interfaces of Root) are. Now I don’t know the whole backstory here, but it seems like you are snubbing him simply because he brought up some very valid points against the default index.php and wp-layout.css files. Sure he may be a bit harsh sometimes, but he’s done plenty of good around here and everyone knows this (come on, you really cannot deny that). As for his interfaces having “fundamental problems” and “usability issues,” show us where they are…
Personally, I’m running his Gemini interface, and it’s done everything I want, and even more with the latest revision. So I’m curious as to what these problems are. If you’re going to say something like that, back it up.
@root: Stick by your interfaces. There is nothing wrong with them, that I have found (and I’m sure plenty of others will agree). However, if you decide to permanently remove them, thanks for giving us a few templates that actually work, as promised, out of the box.
