In reply to: Creating Navigation Page Names Different than Page NamesHow do I know if a plugin is still supported? How many plugins are recommended? I take it 35 is too many.
I still have the initial problem of not being able to change a page name in the navigation to a shorter name. Could I send you a screenshot of the menu?

In reply to: Creating Navigation Page Names Different than Page NamesThe cartoon “BOOIIIIING” doesn’t sound good. I have deleted the plugin. Do you have a suggestion to replace it? I don’t even know what it did.
And the other plug-ins? Should I send you screenshots, and perhaps delete some of them?

In reply to: Creating Navigation Page Names Different than Page NamesSteve,
As far as I can tell there only seems to be one menu, the main menu. It seems like something must be overriding it. I have also tried to change the name of The Store to Online Store and nothing changed. I took a screenshot, but don’t see where to attach it here. Please advise.
I have 35 plug-ins. Should I send screenshots? I don’t know what you mean by MU plugins.
I have deactivated the Page Lists Plus plug-in, which apparently was the problem when all of a sudden my home page was filled with warning messages. Should I delete it?
Thank you for your help, sorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner.

In reply to: Creating Navigation Page Names Different than Page NamesSteve,
I received the following error while in the process of deactivating plug-ins, after installing Health Check:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/30/6727830/html/wp/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 5122
I tried three different times, receiving this same message each time, so was unable to do as you suggested. Can you help with this problem?

I had tried this, and did it again after receiving your message, but this has not fixed the problem.
Any other ideas?

In reply to: Website Full of Warnings on all PagesSince I’ve removed the plugin, my navigation bar across the top of my pages has changed. How do I remove “Welcome to Alpaca Meadows” in the navigation bar? Or, how do I change it to “Home”? See https://alpacameadows.com/.
Hope you can help.

In reply to: Website Full of Warnings on all PagesI’m afraid that I am very much a rookie when it comes to this type of thing. I am looking at the Alpaca Meadows: Stylesheet (style.css) but I don’t see anything about a child theme style.css. Could you tell me where to find this?
Also, are you saying I don’t need the page-lists-plus plugin?
Thank you for your help with this.

In reply to: Website Full of Warnings on all PagesI have disabled the page-lists-plus plugin and now my page looks like this: https://alpacameadows.com/ with none of the page names showing across the top. Now what? Do I not need the page-lists-plus plugin?

In reply to: [Slider - Ultimate Responsive Image Slider] Slider not slidingI am having the same problem. Images are stationary and do not slide, also are not horizontal sizes I created. I have taken it off site because I don’t want it to be live as it was. Can you help?

https://www.alpacameadows.comAndrew,
Thank you for your help! I have installed the plugin. Now, how do I know if it is working? Is there something else I need to do?
I read this about the plug-in:
Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.
This small plugin moves scripts to the footer to help speed up page load times, while keeping stylesheets in the header. Note that this only works if you have plugins and a theme that utilizes wp_enqueue_scripts correctly. How do I know if I have wp_enqueue_scripts?
Julie
What field are you referring to?

In reply to: Problem With Ecwid Store Widget in Sidebar on Blog PostsI apologize for not being back here for three months. I’d like to tell you my problem is resolved but now I have the same problem as before, except on a different page, https://alpacameadows.com/the-fiber-studio/
Hope you can help!

In reply to: Problem With Ecwid Store Widget in Sidebar on Blog PostsThank you so much for taking the time to try and help me. I just wish I understood and could implement your answer. I am without a developer so trying to muddle through this myself. I attempted to edit the styles.css file as you suggested (Appearance->Editor) but now have the opposite problem with blog posts looking correct https://alpacameadows.com/doll-makers-customer-gallery/, but the Farm Blog page not looking right https://alpacameadows.com/whats-new/
I am not sure at this point exactly what I did, but do know I am quite frustrated. I feel like it might have something to do with the various widgets?
If there is anything you can do to simplify your answer for a non-developer and help further, I would certainly appreciate it.
Thanks again!

In reply to: Something BrokenJohn,
That fixed it! Thank you so much for your help.
I have another question, if you don’t mind. I’ve been trying to do a website analysis myself to determine why I’m not getting sales, despite a decent amount of traffic to my website. One of the alerts is:
The page has more than 2 stylesheets (9 css).
Do you know what this means and is it possible to explain how I might correct it?
