I am unable to log into the site and our hosting provider had been unsuccessful at gaining access until an hour ago. He’s telling me this: “I’ve done a lot of work toward securing the site, but I’m not yet confident that it is locked down based on the scope of the intrusion.”
We pay an annual fee, and I’d think security measures would be his responsibility, but I’m unsure of this. Would you suggest I find another hosting provider after he gains full control of the site back?

I copied the coding for them from a sample page within Qualia, the theme we’re using. Any recommendation of what I can do to to fix the issue? I’m in no way very proficient with coding/Wordpress, but I take directions well.

In reply to: Disable User Registration from WordPress 4.0Shopping Cart is WooCommerce. I’d already checked the ‘Enable Guest Checkout’ box and also unchecked ‘Enable Registration on the Checkout Page and the ‘My Account’ pages.
None of that has disabled user registration.

I’m a newbie to WordPress, so where do I look for the cache plugin? The site was disabled at first, and now it runs slowly. When any edits are attempted, the following error message appears:
“Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.”
