Thanks for your reply but I had no dynamic content or file names.
From WordPress update 5th September, dB went from 9.9Mb to 1.9Gb in 11 days.
No settings were changed. On the verge of the site coming down.

I’ve had to swap to a different plugin, but basically the edit avatar button wouldn’t do anything.
Since posting the question thouh I’m wondering if there’s a javascript issue with the Native them, as the standard WP Screen Options and Help buttons don’t do anything either.
So I don’t think it’s your plugin now, but thanks for checking ??
