I am having the same problem.

No social icons when using the child theme.

Woops, I noticed that If you don’t upload an image logo that is 360 x 125, the original size I said for the background pic (1280 x 245) may be to big or small.

You will just have to play around with what height you need.

I recommend just styling everything first (logo, social icons, menu) than get a ruler plugin for firefox and measure the size you need. (I use the add-on called “MeasureIt”

Will save you time playing with resizing.

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you were looking for, as I am a newbie.

I wanted an image behind the header also so this is what I did.

In the backend admin panel click on appearance–> background.

Upload a file that is 1280 x 245.

As for the display options beneath the upload:
Position: Center
Repeat: No Repeat
Attachment: Scroll
Background Color: **This is the color that will appear for
everything below the Main Nav Menu**

Click “Save Changes” and you should have that image behind the header while the rest of the page will display the color specified in “Background Color” option.

The nav menu acts as the divide making it lok very nice!
Hopefully that is what you are looking for!

I’m sorry if it’s totally obvious, but where do you edit the slider?

Just rolled back and issue is not there.
I think I understand the issue more now.

So when I use 1.3.10 and click “add new” under Page menu item it gives me a blank page. No auto-fill or anything funky. I can click on Page Builder tab and proceed as normal. When I publish page everything is fine and it reloads the page that I ust published to continue editing.

Now in 1.4 when I click “add new” it displays a page titled “Sample Page” and has a bunch of text. I’m pretty sure it is the WP default page because it mentions “this is what a sample page look like, go to your pages and delete this blah blah blah..”
So from here I delete everything, change the title and permalink to match the title, use page builder, publish. But when it refreshes it doesn’t refresh that page I was working on. It displays a sample page. So weird. But the page did publish.

Well, it seems that the problem I described above is fine, but there are is now another issue. Maybe you are working on it, but I’ll describe below.

When I save or preview a page it refreshes and changes the page name to sample page. This is the same funky thing I was getting earlier when I tried 1.4. I try to make a page titles “page builder” and the permalink generated shows mysite.com/page-builder/ but as soon as I publish, it refreshes and I get the weird renaming thing. I think it is just an issue with saving.

If I remember correctly, when I was using 1.4 before I was messing around with a page that I titled “Sample Page” so it may just keep referring back to that since it isn’t saving correctly???
I wish I was better at coding so I can contribute more. In due time ??

Page Builder 1.4 with WordPress 3.7.1

It was working fine with 1.3.10 last night

When I “duplicate” widgets and move them around only ~2 actually stay. Others vanish. Can’t update page, I lose all content.

Also when i updated I seemed it seemed to have deleted a page I made with page builder.

Thanks, I tried it on a regular install (non multisite) and it worked.

Is there a page that you know of that has more recommended wdgets?

The www.remarpro.com search filter isn’t the best so it’s hard to find good results. Then people tag widget when the plugin doesn’t even add a widget! Err!
