This is for a small barbecue restaurant. Some days he runs out of certain product so he wants to verify the order before the card is charged. So their won’t be a set inventory like with other types of products–it would basically be a day-to-day thing.

Trying to think of the best way to set this up (fewest steps possible when taking and verifying the order). He wants to be able to sent a text notification to the customer when he confirms their order and charges their card.

Looks like the manual sync worked well. Still tinkering with it so will let you know how it goes!

I want to do something similar to this as my shop page. Just looking for some guidance on where to start.

Yes that works but I was looking for a little more flexibility in how it displays. For example, I’d like to show 3 categories per row, but when I click on the products page show one column of products (one product per row) with a longer description.

My biggest concern is to not disable or destroy any of the current Square settings that are being used in the physical store.

Currently we do not have SKU for items in Square. I plan to add SKU to just a few items and manually sync from Square into WooCommerce to test everything first. Then add SKU and sync again from Square into WooCommerce.

Would this be a safe way to proceed?

Great, thank you for the information. One more question– the menu (items) are already up and running in the current Square account. The restaurant owner has been using it for POS at the physical restaurant with no problems.

If I install and set up this plugin to start offering online ordering, importing those items from Square into WooCommerce, it should NOT mess up the existing system, correct?

I am very nervous about setting this up as I am looking to add this functionality without messing up the existing information.

I’m trying to wrap my head around this before setting it up.

So when an order is made through the website for an order, will the order show up immediately through Square? Looks like all we will see is the order number and amount, so we’ll have to use some other way for the restaurant to be notified they have an order up and what that order is.

Is this correct?
