I must admit I read around the forums and it looked like it had been a big issue so gave up trying to find a fix and went with a different plugin. Not got quite as nice customisation options but for now it will do

Okay I have fixed the issue.

For anyone having trouble who is using the wp-mandrill plugin to send emails through mandrill, if in the settings for that plugin you specify a reply to email it will overwrite any set in the Contact Form so just take it out.

I am not sure which feature triggered it.
Yes removing the .htaccess file fixes the problem. I tried a few suggestion like reenabling permalinks but that didn’t help either

I have disabled the service status apache module as its not needed but its still showing up in the logs?

If it was an Apache Monitoring issue wouldn’t it also show up in the logs for my other sites on that VPS? (Its not showing in any of them)

Apologies, I was led to believe the users of the site where using the tablepress plugin. I shall get that corrected.

I have tested using table press and indeed the css is working.

I dont think its a plugin as the plugins are the same that are on all my sites. Theme? I will try that later today.

Also, i did try another backup plugin. This gave warnings about wp-cron.php
I checked permissions of everything etc and they′re all correct

Edit. Have tried switching back to default theme, still getting same issue

Same here (posted earlier but only just seen this thread)

No log files generated at all. I get job has started but not responded for 10 seconds. Other wordpress sites on same server have no issue with the plugin.
