In reply to: Multisite pages suddenly not foundAh ok. I’ve got so many plugins now that that could easily happen. Will see if I can drop any.
Thanks for your help Mika.

In reply to: Multisite pages suddenly not foundAre you talking a system lock? – that would affect the entire multisite or apache2, rather than just the main blog wouldn’t it?
/var/log/apache2/error.log contains a single error for my WordPress installation that’s from a different blog and theme from my main blog. It was ongoing, so no new errors were logged at the time webhive.com.au faulted. (I’ve now fixed the error.)
I found this line in dmesg:
[1895987.361653] possible SYN flooding on port 80. Sending cookies.
But I don’t know what time that happened…Cheers

In reply to: Multisite pages suddenly not foundHad a look at the log but found nothing relevant. Weird!

In reply to: Multisite pages suddenly not foundOK fixed. I started deactivating plugins. Then the web pages came back. So I reactivated all the plugins. Now it’s working perfectly. Don’t know what caused it. I’d still like to know, if anyone has any ideas…

In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] Mobile version doesn't use functions.phpYes is that the problem? I run a multisite and don’t want to use the filter on all blogs.

In reply to: Blog domain redirection problemsThanks Mika.
I guess changing the permalink format had the same effect as editing the wp_x_posts table.
In summary…
My final MU domain Mapping plugin settings were:
– Permanent Redirect
– User domain mapping page
The other MU domain Mapping plugin settings are unchecked.I modified the blog’s Home setting to the new domain name.
And changed the Permalinks format, which must have updated the domain name in the wp_x_posts table. That fixed all broken blog post links.

In reply to: Blog domain redirection problemsReally? How do you get the domain name to display in the URL bar then?
Think it’s working now. I changed Home setting only. I had to change permalinks to Post Name to get the blog post links to work.
Hi Richard
Thanks for your reply. All the other plugins work fine but I’ll see if anyone on the multisite forum has any insight.
Cheers
JackieHi Sed
Thanks for your lightening fast response! I didn’t have the plugins menu enabled for site administrators. It’s working now.
For anyone else who needs to know this, I had to go to the Network Admin Dashboard – Settings – Network Settings – scroll down to ‘Menu Settings’ at the bottom and check the ‘Plugins’ box.
Thanks heaps
Jackie
