UPDATE::::
I managed to get the Google Analytics tag installed on every page for chartrandlaw.ca. I used the WPCode WordPress plugin and put the code in the body box instead of the header. The instructions at GA told me to put the tag code just after the </head> end tag. So I put copied the code, then went to “Code Snippets” then “Header & Footer” and pasted the code in the box for BODY.
I then went into the “Manual Setup” for Google Analytics and hit the TEST button for https://chartrandlaw.ca and it passed ok.
So now I got the GA tag installed within the WordPress site and Site Kit should start reporting traffic/users…. right??
Hi Adam
It turns out that Google Analytics is not reporting traffic at all. I tried a while back to do the migration/update from Universal to G4 and it looks like the configuration is not completed. Below is the message in Analytics at the top of the page for domain: chartrandlaw.ca:
If you haven’t completed migration, finish setting up your Google Analytics 4 property before your connected Universal Analytics property is permanently deleted on Jul 1, 2024. To maintain access to data from this property, you should download your data now.
I was able to go further with help from the Google info and I found the following:
Your Google tag wasn’t detected on your website.
So this is the problem why there is no reporting in Site Kit and Analytics. I am not sure what I am doing about adding the tag to my WordPress website. Any thoughts??
