Thanks so much for your response! I tried what you recommended, and it actually got rid of the error message…Unfortunately, it’s still not showing the actual index (any grid of thumbnails or pages), just a title saying “Recipe Index.”

Not sure why it won’t display the actual index when clicking on that link?

Hi Ian, thanks so much for your response. The link you sent had a guide for bluehost sites, I actually have Hostgator, Would the same process apply?

    Thanks!

Hi @webzunft, I’ve been trying to enable Adsense on my site for a couple of months now. The code is there and everything seems to working, but I keep getting the error message:
“Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after reviewing your application, we’re unable to accept you into AdSense at this time.
To see the reasons why we did not approve your application, visit google.com/adsense and sign in using the email address and password you submitted with your application.”
That link, however, leads to another message saying it’s under review, with no information on any reasons divulged. Very confusing/frustrating!

I’ve tried to reach out directly, but it appears that they don’t really have a way of getting in touch with them (the links under the generic support lead to another forum/dead end)

Any suggestions/help or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks Thomas!

The site in question btw is https://worldofhotspur.com

Hi – I actually installed the mc4wp app, and strangely it’s fixed the issue…for now at least lol.

Do you know why adding a MC pop up form (on desktop and mobile) would mess with the mobile view of the site? It seems to scramble the layout/pics etc, the content’s still there but just in a weird and inferior display format. Desktop seems unaffected mostly…

    Thanks!

Hey @plantprogrammer – thanks again for the tips. I will play around with the CSS then, seems like that’s the best way to apply a global font change for paragraphs…

One question I had though, was will this ensure that it becomes the *default* new font for all future new paragraphs? Whether using the regular block editor or TinyMCE classic paragraph block?

    Cheers

Hi @plantprogrammer – forgot to mention that I’m using the Kale theme. There appears to be a way (in customizer) to change the default font family for paragraph, headings etc, but not the size?

Would be great if there’s a way to change the size without adding CSS, or even needing to mess with TinyMCE plugin…but if I were to add code, it’s not something that’s gonna break the site or cause further problems down the line right? Also, wanted to make sure I can remove the code and revert back to previous form? Anyway, thanks for your help.

Hi Ian – thanks so much for your reply.

Will definitely check out those CSS tips, however perhaps even more than that was wondering how to simply change the default font/size for a paragraph? So for example, when writing a blog post or page, how to set it to where each paragraph’s font wouldn’t have to be manually changed. Is there a way to do this without adding code?

I’m currently using the TinyMCE plugin, which does enable decent font customization, but requires manual changing not just in every block, but in every new paragraph. As you can imagine gets pretty tedious. Appreciate your help!

Ok thanks. Do you know of another plugin/widget that would enable a “follow” button for the blog?

Hi – sorry had another question for you! I’ve enabled the widget for the subscription option…wondering if there’s a way to add a simple “follow” button as well? Maybe after each blog post — perhaps even one that might have capability for following via Twitter/Facebook etc as well?

    Thanks!

Hi – thanks this is some great info ??

Not using any special plugin for the comments, just the default WordPress one…Do have Sassy Social Share and Like buttons plugins though?

Where would the actual follow button be placed? Is it customizable throughout the site? Hoping to maybe put one on the home page and/or blog page…and then others after each post, perhaps even in the side widget…Is this easy to accomplish? (using Astra theme with Elementor).

    Thanks again!

Hi – thanks for the details! Will definitely give it a shot.

So as far as you know, Jetpack shouldn’t interfere with any other opt-in or contact forms on the site (Mail-Chimp/WP forms, etc?)

Do you know if I’ll lose all of my existing comments once activating Jetpack comments?

Also, how exactly would followers get notified of new content via this method? An email that says “site name” has posted a new article/blog” etc, with a link to new content?

    Thanks!

    (@jran)

Hi – thanks for the reply! Saw somewhere that there are downsides to adding jetpack (reduced/conflicting functionality elsewhere), do you know what these are specifically?
Also, will I see a list of the contact/emails that have subscribed to the blog?

    Thanks!

Hi – for some reason there was no option anywhere on WP support to create a new topic so had to jump on this thread…

Looking for the best way to add follow button/option to my blog (to receive new notification of new content, posts, etc) don’t need to send out email campaigns necessarily, but don’t mind having a pop up appear on page where people can subscribe and follow this way. Do have a Mailchimp account, but unsure how to connect it for this purpose…What’s the best/easiest way to do this?

    Thanks!

No worries, just so frustrating because they’ve emailed with an apparent link to the issues that need to be fixed prior to approval, but it just leads back to the generic Adsense page…and then there’s no way to contact them via phone/chat/email ?? Oh well, thanks anyway.
