In reply to: Background image issue using Twentyten Child-themeHadn’t checked this. I copied and pasted the output HTML into that site and it came up with an error, so will work on fixing that I guess. I’m working on it locally at the moment so I can’t provide links unfortunately.

In my past research, I’ve found that if I’ve kept the same site content and the same permalink structure, the Google rankings have stayed the same even after changing the host. That doesn’t account for other factors that might change though. Since you are redesigning site and changing the theme, the underlying html will change and that could affect rankings regardless of the host.

Have seen this already on another post, but want to clarify.
The other option is to get the original site files and do a manual upgrade using those.
