  • Hey seems to be a bug in the plugin not rewriting the & sign in the titles and causing the gallerys not to open. You can not just change the name at this point that doesn’t rewrite the database slug. The only way I figured out how to fix the existing gallerys was to go in to the database and change the slug name for those non working gallerys and remove the &- in those names (Note if you are not familiar with editing your database I wouldn’t recommend this but it is the only way I found to fix it without deleting the whole gallery) and renaming it and re uploading the images.

    Hope this helps and the plugin author looks in to this a little closer. It used to work ok at doing this but seems the latest updates may have broke something here.

    update I have spoke with the server owners and my programmer and we have narrowed it down to something with the plugin. Steps taken to get to this.

    Can create a new page in wordpress Test & Test and wordpress and mod-rewrite does change it to test-test so all that is working there.

    Now when creating a new gallery with the name Test & Test it does not rewrite to test-test instead it stays at Test & Test which is causing the gallery to not open on the front end. Any help in resolving this bug will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Yes pagination would be nice

    Any word on this problem I am getting it also on new install??

    Hey I figured this out with some more playing around but still would like to know if there is a way to fix it. The problem was my client does not want to show prices so I had not put prices in for only 2 so they where the only 2 showing put prices in for the others and they show now. Is there way that I can make them all show if he does not want to put the prices in or does he have to put the price in. Maybe this was an oversite on the plugin aurthors part. Maybe he will chime in and let us know.

    Thanks

    No mistake installed plugin activated it menu gone deactivated it menu back. Something in the code is making my menu disappear now it may be a conflict with the template I am using but it did break the menu and it was this plugin. No worries I went ahead and went with another plugin.

    Thanks,
    Jody

    Yes I have couple clients with sites that have a lot of pages and the widget page takes a long time to load now also. I would second the notion to have the widgets load up when there used and not when the page loads as well. Was much better than having to wait for it all to load when the page loads and slow everything down. Thanks for a great plugin but it would be better not to have to wait. Could you think about changing it back or maybe a button under settings to let people decide not sure how much trouble that would be though.

    Thanks

    Hey ohrn you must do what Jess Planck said do in the post above then it works fine. I have it on many clients sites had to do it on all of them but it does still work great.

    You will need to uninstall the WP Super Edit database tables and reinstall using those ugly yellow buttons on the WP Super Edit option screens. Since the changes were pretty extreme it’s better to reset the settings than attempt to modify them.

    Hey Chris,

    I was able to fix it by doing this if you want to implement this in the next update. I removed the border from the inner on line 20 of css as it is really not needed. Then on line 12 of css add overflow: hidden;

    This fixed it for me. Maybe you can add these fixes and put them in an updated version. Hope this helps out. Also I removed the background color from the inner as well on mine so it blends in with my site. Just another thought.

    Thanks

    This didn’t work Chris. I have been playing with it and cannot figure out how the only thing that changes it is if I put a height in on line 62 of the css in the plugin but of course that wont work see if you can figure it out. Maybe me or you can figure out how to fix this and you can put it in the next update.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Hey Chris where do I put this code at?

    #wpmtst-container .content,
    [id^="wpmtst-widget"] .content {
      float: none;
    }

    Thanks Chris that is great and thank you for making this a great plugin. I will have to send you a private link on the other as it is not on a live server yet but i believe you are correct in it is a css conflict. I will look a little harder in to that and see.

    Thanks

    Hey Ashleysinder looks like it may be a task to edit it to work with the 3.9. I found this one that works just as good and the DEV updated it to work with 3.9 so I am using it now. Just be sure you are using 3.9 or above wordpress before you use it as it requires 3.9 or above or it will not work ok.

    Well after looking through some of the other editors not sure if this one will be fixable or not either. Hope the DEV chimes in soon. For now I think I am going to go to the tinymce advance editor as I need to get a site running that I installed 3.9 on I have left the rest of mine at 3.8 till hopfully he gets this worked out but it’s not looking good. Please let us know something DEV. Thanks

    Just an update guys. I emailed Jess the DEV and he is aware of the problem.

    Here is his reply.

    Yes, I am aware that WP Supper Edit is broken. I am currently reviewing updates to TinyMCE in WordPress and I will release an update as soon as possible. The WordPress core developers have made extensive changes to the TinyMCE integration code, so this may take me a while. The day job has kept me busy lately so I knew I wouldn’t make the WordPress 3.9 launch. Sorry bout the delay.

    Thanks
    Jess

    Here was my reply back.

    Hey Jess,

    Thanks,

    Just wanted to give everyone on here an update.
