I can confirm that PHP 8.2.24 works well with version 4.0 and is very stable. It may be worth a try to upgrade your PHP, as active support for your current version ended about a year ago.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that changing the PHP version that your site uses just might fix this. PHP 8.2.24 works well with version 4.0 and is very stable.

In my situation, this issue was caused by an incompatibility with a shipping insurance plugin that I use. The team responsible for the plugin is aware of the problem and is working on fixing it. However, in your case, @jesperh95, I suggest going through the plugins that interact with WooCommerce, disabling them one by one, clearing the cache, and observing if the issue goes away. My hunch is that it’s likely a single plugin that has missed several major updates.

That is with everything off but the plugin and Woo, and even using the default theme. Other than asking my host, I am officially out of ideas!

So, one more test, and I found the problem. It is my theme itself. Once I switched to 2024, I can see the video now and am currently confirming that that is also the case with the other browsers. Is there any way you can look at my setup if I create a staging site for you to try and see if there is a workaround?

Just to be thorough, I disabled my CDN, Memcache, NGINX, and Dynamic Cache, in addition to disabling every plugin but Woocommerce and your plugin, and I still get the black box. I think the issue is deeper than Safari only, as I had a friend try from a different location with a Google Chrome mobile browser on a cheap phone, and they also got a box, but in their case, it happens to be green.

As of right now, only those two plugins are active, and it’s the same result… I’ll leave it so you can see.

Note: I do see a black bar under the video in the Chrome mobile browser, but the video is visible but pauses if I do something else on the mobile and come back to the browser and the page must be refreshed in order to play.

What is this small snippet you speak of? I’ve contacted you via support and I am a Pro user. I use SG Optimizer and need code to force the Instagram Plugin to lazy-load because “Defer offscreen images” on PageSpeed is the only fix left to implement.

I’m having the same issue… have you had any luck fixing it?
